Unleashing hell in December, huh, Tomlin?

Is that what you call "unleashing hell", Mike? Losing to the 3-8 Raiders AT HOME? All of a sudden not having a defense that can stop anybody? Wow, I'm speechless. Just unacceptable. Pittsburgh is and has been a dominant franchise in professional sports for a long time, and to lose to the Kansas City Chiefs and the Oakland Raiders is downright embarassing. Tomlin and the rest of those coaches need to get their acts together. We may have already cost ourselves a playoff berth, but we HAVE to win out to have any chance to sneak in. With the way we're playing right now, that's highly unlikely.

Hey I would be all for that. Only problem is Berry is a safety and we need CBs. Maybe Berry could learn to play the CB position.

After watching carter leave people wide open and leave Ike isolated when he expected help?

And after we drafted two CBs on who looks like the real deal.

PAIN

I am in a lot of pain after this loss. Our defense was horrible!!!. I still do not know how is possible we play that bad at defense. We were not able to stop on 3rd down conversions. The worst performance by our defense I have seen in years. After this loss, It is clear we are not a PLAYOFF caliber team.

PLAYOFFS!

PLAYOFFS!, PLAYOFFS?!, WERE TALKING ABOUT PLAYOFFS! Steeler Nation, we just lost to the sorry ass RADIERS for Christ’s sake! Tomlin was right, he did unleash hell today, because this is exactly what it fells like. This is absolutely horrible and the only thing that will make this season worse is losing next week to the Mutts. I am completely embarassed ny this loss. I live in L.A., how am I going to walk around town this week with my Lambert jersey on. Jack is probably sick to his stomach right now about the piss-poor performance of the defense for the past 4 weeks.

Questions

We don’t deserve to even sniff the playoffs…we possess a great defense is what I have been told, but where is it? Did someone forget it somewhere in 2008? We have a good offense? Did someone forget it I don’t know where we could have forgot it? They are inept in the RZ. Does Ben know you aren’t suppose to throw the ball to other team in End Zone? Do our DB’s know your suppose to catch the ball when it is in your hands? Do they know your suppose to cover the guy they are standing across from? Does this team know there is 60 minutes in a game?

Defense a Travesty

The vaunted Steelers defense has now given up 4th Q or OT winning drives in, I think, each of the Steelers 6 losses. I don’t care what their rank is, this defense CANNOT stop the other team when it counts. That’s the real statistic. The only one that matters. Offense has been terrible. The defense has broken my heart.

How many individual failings cost that game in just the 4th Q? Our fourth quarter poor efforts continue thanks to Carter, Mundy, Ike, Timmons (missed tackle on QB scramble). I’d add Burnett if any other member of the secondary can make an int.

Hey, don't knock Murphy...

….I had us taking him over Wallace in the last draft (not that I matter) and if you’ve seen the Raiders earlier this season, he’s their best receiver by far and that was with Russell chucking the leather.

Not bad for 5th round guy who can’t run routes and suspect hands.
