Polamalu Uncertain of 09 Return

http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d814d2488&template=with-video-with-comments&confirm=true

Well terrible news, without Troy i think there is no hope of this team making the playoffs, we sure will need him to beat a great Passing greenbay team and against Miami/Baltimore.

This hurts a lot, i just dont think Troy's going to be back this season, especially in the position this team is in and the games remaining. I just hope this injury isn't worst than first reported because if a strained PCL would force him to miss a full 6 weeks, i think its gotta be something a little worse, and i hope it doesn't affect his offseason training/Training Camp- Pre-season.

Needless to say, this team isn't going anywhere without Troy, and if this story is legit we are screwed.

Troy is messing with the media, and will likely be back for the Packer’s game.

All take a deep sigh with me on three….

I assume....(and you all know what that leads to..)

I wouldnt doubt Troy sits out the rest of the season if we lose to the Stains, since any chance for postseason play would be out the window. If we get lucky enough to win Thursday, I’m thinking he comes back just to see if they can get on another magical playoff run.

if it is true

than unlikely playoff run becomes more unlikely

We're screwed anyway most likely.

Whether Troy returns or not, we still need to play the kids and see who’s a keeper. It won’t be pretty but we need to start the process of getting better right now.

Wake up and smell the coffee

It does not matter. We are not a championship team in 09. We need to root for losses and a better draft position in the most loaded draft possibly ever.

The Colts and Saints will be undefeated in Miami with the 72 Dolphins looking on.

If Troy's not injured

Tomlin will play him some, regardless of where we stand. If we are eliminated from getting in play offs i’d see the rooks getting more time in the secondary. I guess we’ll get to see that anyways against CLE. Mike will play to win. Nothing more anti-hell-unleashing than having a healthy Troy on the sidelines.

My guess is they are just prolonging this thing

I’m thinking surgery this offseason….as soon as it starts. I’m no doctor but my experiences with ACL and PCL is they all have ended in surgery. Just trying to prepare you. You can try to play with a compromised PCL but it usually doesn’t work out. You may notice this is similar to Shawn Merriman’s situation a couple years ago. Troy’s conditioning and lighter weight may help but I wouldn’t chance it. Make your backups get it done. That’s what they are being paid for.

I sense ...

the end is near; this news just about sews it up. In the same way that Favre has made the Vikings significantly better overall, Troy makes the Steelers’ defense significantly better. His absence for the remainder of the year just about puts the finishing touches on the Steelers’ run to repeat. While the team might be able to muddle its way past the Brownies, the Packers have the ability to eat their lunch and neither the Ravens nor the Dolphins will roll over.

But none of this will cause me to boo the Steelers or walk out before the final gun.

except...I this have cautious optimism

that they can get a good mix and take this thing to the house. VERY CAUTIOUS.

You'll get your wish

Their team is bad. Our problems may be a Super Bowl hangover, but they are just bad.

Right move

Especially with some of the physical teams you face in the last 4 games with Packers and Ravens. Don’t want to risk losing him for the off season.

You have to hate losing more than you love winning.

Especially considering

How dirty the Ravens play. God forbid Suggs has a bottle of bleach on the field.

Hell yea

Good thing we don’t have a player named McNaulty on our team.

And hopefully Ray doesn’t have a shank in his sock.

POLAMOLU

I DONT BELIVE IT AT ALL,WAT I THINK IS WEN WE MAKE THE PLAYOFFS THERE IS NO WAY IN THE WORLD HE IS NOT GONNA PLAY HE IS A BEAST,AND HIS TESTASORINE[ I HOPE I SPELLED THAT RIGHT] WILL NOT LET HIM SIT HE WILL SUIT UP AND PLAY,BUT IF WE HAPPEN TO MISS THE PLAYOFFS THERE IS NO NEED TO PLAY HIM THERE IS ALWAYS NEXT YEAR.,LET HIM HEEL UP AND DONT FEED HIM UNTIL SEPT 2010 AND LET HIM EAT..
