Steeler Fans, set your DVR's
I found this on the post-gazette this morning:
Steelers fans who want to chase away the blues or just remember better times can get it all tomorrow on the NFL Network long before the kickoff of their game in Cleveland there.
Steelers fans who want to chase away the blues or just remember better times can get it all tomorrow on the NFL Network long before the kickoff of their game in Cleveland there.
The NFL Network will television a special marathon of the six Steelers’ victorious Super Bowl seasons tomorrow starting at 10:30 a.m. with Super Bowl IX.
Here is the lineup, including commentary from team members of each of those championship clubs:
10:30 AM ET -- America’s Game: 1974 Pittsburgh Steelers -- Joe Greene, Andy Russell, Franco Harris
11:30 AM ET -- America’s Game: 1975 Pittsburgh Steelers -- Lynn Swann, Jack Lambert, Dwight White
12:30 PM ET -- America’s Game: 1978 Pittsburgh Steelers -- Rocky Bleier, Terry Bradshaw, Mel Blount
1:30 PM ET -- America’s Game: 1979 Pittsburgh Steelers -- John Stallworth, L.C. Greenwood, John Banaszak
2:30 PM ET -- America’s Game: 2005 Pittsburgh Steelers -- Bill Cowher, Jerome Bettis, Joey Porter
3:30 PM ET -- America’s Game: 2008 Pittsburgh Steelers -- Mike Tomlin, Ben Roethlisberger, Troy Polamalu
These are always fun to watch and a good remedy for some bad Steeler football.
Go Stillers!

haha
nah man i had to put my yellow lab down today. She was 15. Sucks cause I had a black lab and a gold lab to show my steeler pride and now I just have a black one. :(
Bring a towel to the game. Black or gold or yellow. If you don't have one buy one, If you can't buy one, dye one!!!

i was talking to Arn
sooooo sorry to hear about your yellow lab, that’s like losing a family member. i wonder how the black will take it, feel sorry for the black….
i put my chocolate lab down 3 years ago and i can honestly say i cried off and on for a good week. i keep a picture of him here at my office and once or twice a year, i’ll have a moment and breakdown. labs are the best.
we have a boxer and a golden now and although the golden is better than the boxer, neither came close to my boy SHOOTER – named after the drunk dad in the movie Hoosiers!!
again, so sorry to hear about your baby having to get put down.

my baby girls, and I’ve already told them that they have to out live me. So sorry to hear SoCal.

I too...
Have a choco lab. Great dogs. I had a black lab that got loose and struck by a car almost two years ago now. I still have those moments that wardane33 talked about. I’m right there with you.

Ive got a cocker spaniel I have had since I was 7. I'm 23.
I’m a man, and as one, I can admit that when she goes, I will be nigh inconsolable. She’s still very very healthy and when I get home she’ll still tear ass like a puppy because she’s so excited, so I think she’s got a few left in her.

Geez I'm sorry to hear that.
Unfortunately, they never stay around long enough. Just remember; it’s the very last kind thing you can do for them. I know it’s hard to realize it now; but 15 years for a Lab speaks volumes about the good care you provided for her. I’ve always had large breed dogs, too… I’ve never been lucky enough to have my Shepherds live that long. My sympathies to you SoCal.

Oh there will be no drinking for me.
Besides I’m in CST not EST (making it 9:30am when the plethora of Black and Gold magical moments airs) I have to work at noon. Oh they’d love that if I came in toasted. Mo better just gonna have to wait.

you can bet
Bill Cowher in the Locker Room in 2005 after the Bengal game will be on the 2005 version. That is my all-time favortie Cowher moment, “who dey?, we dey, who dey? we dey” Those players were like little kids and so was he.
Almost tackling the Jag’s return man on that blocked kick that cost me $500 when i was making $18,000 as a college basketball coach in 1998 was my second favorite.

Everyone should record and watch these America's Games
Watching them reminds me of the majesty of this great franchise. No wonder our rivals hate us so much. On a day like today when all does not seem rosy with our football team they are a great reminder of how awesome it is to be a Steeler fan. Long live the greatest team in pro sports.

watched 74,75,78, and 79 tonight
It was good and bad at the same time. The bad first, watching those just put a exclamation point on the lack of intensity from this years team. It was that style of punch you in the mouth, stomp on your throat, unrelenting intensity that made me fall in love with this team in the early 70’s. I think every current Steeler(coaches included) should have these constantly streaming at home all off season so they can get reacquainted with what Steelers football is all about, I think they have forgotten. The GOOD, it was like watching old friends and at least for a little bit made me forget what a disaster this year has been, a couple more times and I will forget this season altogether.
