Wille Colon has accepted the tender from the Steelers. Colon, who will enter his fourth year in the NFL, has started every game at right tackle for the Steelers over the past two seasons, including 34 regular-season contests and four postseason games. He was originally selected by the Steelers in the fourth round (131st overall) of the 2006 NFL draft out of Hofstra. Well, props to Colon. He isn't wanted by some fans, but we need all of the o-lineman we can get. He as I've said in a previous post is the stinkiest player in the locker room.
Chris Carr also is visiting Sixburgh today. With the depature of Bryant McFadden to the Cardinals, Carr would be a perfect fit for the team. If the Steelers can make a deal with Carr, whose spirit on the field fits the Steeler mold, it would fulfill two potential needs. The first as a return man and also as a defensive back. The Titans want him back, but he wants more playing time. He'll get plenty of time in the Steel City. Keep your fingers crossed.
