So, as posted already, Galloway is with the Pats. We obviously went after him hard, and he chose something a lot of pro's do. They know ESPN will blow them if they are on the Pats, so they sign there. Tory Holt is available. I think this guy had an off year for a bad team, and has a chance to really make some great plays for a year or two. He is older and can teach Santonio how to win with speed, something Hines can't teach him. I dont like the idea of signing Harrison too much, but I dont see us spending two early draft picks on receivers two years in a row, and I think the fact that we made a play for Galloway shows we want a 3rd receiver going into this year who isnt Limas Sweed. Lets see if he signs for cheap, if he wants more than 3 mil, I say pass, but who knows, it could be a steal.
Anyways, about Sweed, before people jump on me for giving up early. Im not giving up, but you dont hand a good job to an unproven player unless you think he is ready. If the team gives him the 3rd spot, I would agree. I would rather see him beat Tory Holt out for it though, but I trust the organization. I really just think that this could be a smart move for our offense, giving us one more piece to the puzzle and not on a long-term deal.
