Nate Washington to sign with Titans

Completely expected, not terribly disappointed. The Steelers weren't going to pay him starter money.

relative speed
Does anyone know the relative speed of Washington, Holmes and Sweed? I read that Nate was the fastest of these three and Limas was the slowest. Any truth to this? Do the Steelers need to find another WR burner in the later rounds?
almost impossible to determine
running in a straight line? Probably Nate. Of course most routes are not straight lines in the NFL.
Santonio Holmes is incredibly quick – in an out of routes, with the ball in his hands, etc. Fast with great lateral quickness. Watch the Bmore game where Santonio skips away from a pro-bowl corner and an all-pro safety.
Limas, it seems, possesses excellent speed and quickness for his size. Not many 6 foot 4 inch guys can out move people, they combine good movement and good speed with great strength and reach. Whether Limas can put it all together remains to be seen, but he has the tools to get wide open in the NFL… he’s already shown that.
I’m excited – there, I said it – about his chances next year. My enthusiasm will diminish if he doesn’t perform during camp and the preseason, but he’s the hardest worker on the squad this side of Chris Hoke and has a great physical skill-set.

Ugh Too bad for Nate
If we play the TITans this year we’ll have to apologize to Nate after we stomp him and his new teammates into the ground.

Nate Leaving
Nate worked his butt off to get in this position, coming out of little Tiffin University to emerge as one of the Steelers deep threats. I think the Steelere should have resigned him to a deal. With Holmes going to be a free agent soon and Ward at the end of his great carrer and who knows what we are going to get out of Sweed. I think Ben will miss Nate. I hope I am still excited about Sweed next season as I was when I thought we got a steal in the 2nd round.
