LT Peters to Philly for Picks...effects on Pgh?

Now Philly has lost its left side of its line from last year with Dockery going back to Washington and trading Peters to Philly.  They likely were looking o-line before the trade but now really have to be thinking OT or OG with their first round picks.  Britton and Beatty would be candidates, so that sort of leaves Pgh, Minnesota, and Buffalo in that low first round possibly looking o-line.  Any thoughts on this?

come on now 2005

things have been rolling along nicely around here. Let’s keep it up and save the occasional F bomb for Drew Rosenhaus please. Makes some people uncomfortable. Thanks.

Drew Rosenhaus!

lol I guess that would be an acceptable reason.

He has done well!

Just no run support. If he can squish the fish he should get on a roll. Overall it’s still early but I’m impressed.

Deebo fodder

Not sure about the draft implications, but we’ve got Peters covered on the field.

No net change on number of teams needing OT

The Eagles won’t be drafting an OT in the first round now after signing Andrews and getting Peters so that’s good news for the Steelers, but the Bills are hurting at that position and have two shots at it in the first round. They could be looking at Oher or Andre Smith with their No. 11 pick, or Britton at 28 if he falls that far. There will be a lot more trades before the draft however.

and is it just an offensive tackle, or

does the trade of Peters and letting Dockery walk mean they would want an interior lineman as well? Mack, Wood, and Robinson might be possibilities.

Hmmm....

Seems to me, the O line stood up pretty well against the Joker Cards D. Even without drafting a lineman, I think they should come together as a unit this year…of course, you know what they say about opinions…

Thank you drive through.

I thought our O-line got steadily dominated by the cards D. I think we were watching different games.

The steelers O-line cannot handle quick 4-3 D’s. This may change next year even with the same personnel, but I doubt it.

Don't worry about the haters. Haters only hate.

I kinda wanted him

I realized that we could never afford him on paper. It just wouldnt have worked out. But on the other hand, we certainly could have swung the trade.

It would have been a dream to get him. And thats all it shall remain

G / C

I think the team is satisfied with Starks/Colon/Essex at T and are looking for improved play at C/G from this draft. Improve the middle of the line, the run game improves and suddenly the T’s look lots better …

But hey, if Britton or Beatty is available at 1/32 and that’s our guy, the brain trust will pull the trigger ! Have faith.
