Roscoe Parish to be traded to Pittsburgh?
According to Matt Pawlikowski the Steelers are exploring trade possibilities for Buffalo Bills wide receiver and return specialist Roscoe Parish.
What do you think the Steelers would give up for the speedy veteran?

I say make this trade
Hopefully they’ll take a 4th round or lower picks. I can see trading him for a 4 and a 5th. This would take WR off the board for the draft and allows you to focus on OL, DL, and CB. Yea the article says Parrish is not the ideal size but we do have sweed and I want as many players pushing him as possible. Competitions makes you better, Iron sharpens Iron if you will. Our best bet is for sweed to beat out Parrish and Parrish to be the 4th receiver. So if they complete this trade that means they probably will go Ol in the first round, CB in the second round, and DL in the third imo.

I’d trade picks 6, 7, 7 for Parrish, no more though. No way do I give up a 5th rounder for Parrish, who has a bad rep for dropped passes.
We can find a 5th round rookie to run fly patterns (Knox or Underwood) and another to return kicks, CB Burnett in the 5th or Lankster in the 6th.
I’m not trying to be too hard on Parrish, as he is supposed to be really dangerous after the catch. And what he does, he has proven — unlike a rookie. After reviewing late round receiver talent, I think we should stick with the draft.
Here’s a previous post with some Bills fans’ commentary:

i'd like him here
but i also agree with above poster… no more than a sixth. downside is thoughh, this also brings up a problem if we want to land frank summers. with no 6th/7th round picks, we most likely will have to use a 5th on him if the steelers FO really wants this guy.
to be honest though if this summers guy is the real deal in short yardage running, i have no problem at all using a 5th on him.

I've heard...
He’s a good returner. Supposedly, he’s got a faster 40 time than Carey Davis…

YES PLEASE!
Oh my, let’s get this deal done. Larry Foote and a mid-rounder if necessary. He’s cheap next couple of years too. Cap hits under $2 million. We’d be set at KR/PR and would have an amazingly badass arsenal of weapons at WR with Ward, Holmes, Parrish, Sweed, Heath.

wow, seriously?
I think we’d be insane to give up that much to get another receiver. Sweed is going to blossom this year, so we really don’t have the need.
If we want to get Holmes off return duties (please), then we should just pick up an undrafted returner.

...foote? :(
you really think that we should trade foote plus a mid rounder for a return man? hmmm i might have to disagree with you there. with a mid rounder alone we could probably snag a decent return man/deep threat. and also i love our depth at LB this year with foote. just think, if we lose one of our ILB’s to injury you can replace him with foote which is little to no drop off, and then if an OLB goes down, just plug in foote at ILB and you can slide timmons down to OLB.
anyways, would buffalo really even want foote? i think they play a 4-3 (i may be wrong) and already have their mlb for the present and future in posluzny.

Why Roscoe Parish???
There must be better players available then this guy….24 receptions, 230 yards. He was arrested on a DUI last year and went to Miami. I don’t think he is a great fit!

check out
his return stats, thats why plus, remember like bliz said, he did have trent edwards and jp lostman throwing the ball, he had some drops but hey he’d just be fighting for a 3 spot in our WR depth chart and hopefully he’d end up 4th.

Would he really be cheap?
How about we send them Foote and they send us their guy and a mid-rounder?
Who knew?

Sounds good
I could see this deal happening, and we could really use an actual kick returner. Plus he could be our deep threat WR, which we obviously lost with Washington’s departure.

I like his skills
hes fast as hell and a great return man. He does drop passes but then again he’s no higher than a #3 WR so thats to be expected. I’d like to have him for his speed alone but it couldn’t hurt to have someone challenge Sweed for that #3 spot. Motivate Sweed (even more than he already is) to preform amazingly.

returners have such short shelf life
Is the problem I see. Guys come out and have 2-3 excellent years. I’ve always though of return men as sell high candidates- meaning you should never be on the buying end.
