Bud Selig is set to Fine and Remove Pittsburgh Pirates

After unsuccessfully 'capturing-battering and looting' a U.S. Navy Sea Ship off the coast of Somalia the Pittsburgh Pirates turned their sites to the MLB schedule and the results have been fantastic. For a franchise that has endured 16 straight losing seasons what their doing so far in this young '09 season is pretty remarkable. The Pirates team ERA is best in the National League, the pitching staff also has a league best 4 shut-outs so far and their easily one of the Top 5 teams in the league when you're referencing wins and day in and day out quality production from every player on the lineup card

Bud Selig said in a statement that he's seriously contemplating making a drastic move to eliminate the Pirate franchise because in his tenure as commissioner of the MLB they've been one of the worst teams and he doesn't quite know how to properly articulate and/or pronounce the phrase "Pittsburgh Pirates are at the top or near the top of their division and there's a good chance they will make the playoffs"

Check back in late August to see if all of this actually comes to fruition!!!

We do talk a bit of baseball and hockey around here, but if I want bucco jokes wouldn’t bucsdugout.com be more appropriate?

LET's..............GO..............BUCS!!!

The very existence of flamethrowers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, "You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."

Nice thing about having a crappy team – you can watch them play without selling all of your belongings.

yea I'm a Yankees fan

although I’ll never cheer against the Pirates, but yeah, the way things are going, the Yankees are gonna be moving back into the old stadium. That’s the great thing about PNC is that it’s a beautiful stadium for realistic pricing. I’m gonna try to get more involved in following the Pirates cause even as a long time Yankee fan, I can’t stand the way things are being run.

It's true what they say...Even the NFL's Big Wigs hate the Steelers. On the plus side, I can now tell my future grand kids about Hines Ward and how the NFL made rules because of him. Roger Goodell, you make me sick.

the price of some of those

yankee seats are just flat out ridiculous. On espn, they mentioned that some of the luxury season tickets go fo almost 900K. Its laughable, and I am glad that the fans are responding by not selling out the games.

The Pirates have a small chance or finishing over .500, but zero chance of making the playoffs. There’s just no way they’re as good at the Cubs or Cardinals.

get use to it fellas, the Pirates are about to go on a long playoff run starting this year

The Pirates are better than the Cubs right now and the only teams in the NL that are playing better are the CARDS and hell thats it….one can argue the Pirates are playing the 2nd best ball in the NL
