With the 205th Pick of the 2009 NFL Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers Select Re'Shon Harris, DT/DE, Oregon
With the 205th overall selection the Steelers have selected a player that adds depth to a position of need. Re'Shon Harris was only a starter for one season at Oregon, but during that year he was very productive logging 47 tackles, 9 tackles for a loss, and 3 sacks. BTSC draft gurus will remember that Re'Shon was ranked as a top five 3-4 defensive end prospect by our very own dathruth4life. Seems like a little bit of a project that will need some time to develop, but has the size to be a contributor as a defensive end in our system. Hopefully Harris' former teamate and current Steeler back up, Dennis Dixon will help Harris ease into a role as a great Steeler for years to come.

Ra'Shon Harris got better every season at Oregon.
He went from a barely recruited player into Oregon’s best DT in 5 years. I can’t find the quote anymore, but Oregon D.C. Allotti said Harris was one of the hardest workers in his coaching career. Kid could be a steal in time!
Solid pick. Probably not good enough to be a starter in the NFL, but he’s someone that will work hard and will be a reliable backup. Minimal drop off for substitutions, and he can probably fill in a couple games if injury comes a knockin’ on Pittsburgh’s door.

Funny, one of the big knocks against him I thought was his work ethic. Now we have two guys who have obviously watched him saying that he is a hard worker. Which is it?
Don't worry about the haters. Haters only hate.
I haven’t heard, or recall any problems with him. His redshirt year, freshman, and sophomore years, he was always one of the most valuable players on the scout team, he got good playing time 2007. 2008, the interior was suppose to be one of our weakest spots on defense, but he tied up the opponent OLine very nicely, as he could tie up multiple linemen for blitzing lanes.
He wasn’t the hardest worker on the team, but he wasn’t a slacker.
