Around SBN: Knicks Beat Lakers With Familiar Strategy

Are you worried about a Super Bowl hangover from the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2009? Think they'll be complacent; happy to have won it all? I don't think so! Take a gander at Mike Tomlin addressing a few questions after the completion of the 2009 NFL Draft.

All hail Coach Michael Tomlin!

Thanks for the link

I find myself hanging on every word of Coach Tomlin. Love to hear his take on things.

I also liked to hear what he said about our #1 draft pick: They took him because of his talent plus his character as a leader. Sounds good!

Amazing

I love listening to Tomlin discuss our Steelers. He so gets what we are all about. Living in Cleveland and having to listen to the various coaches for the Browns every year reminds me of how truly lucky we are to have a coach like him. I wasnt a big fan of the hiring in the beginning and was really wanting Grimm to get the position. However after having seen what Tomlin has brought to the table in 2 years I couldnt be happier with him as our Coach. Reminds me to trust in our ownerships ability to bring the right guys in for our football team.

Ditto

Yeah I was devastated two years ago when Wiz & Grimm were passed over foran unknown! I actually give them credit for for Cowher finally getting his SB ring. Obviously to bring a team like the Cards to the SB shows their coaching prowess.
How ever Tomlin has that understanding of motivation, player development and team cohesion that moves a team from perennial playoff team to perennial champions. Chalk it up to his analytical mind and an intimate understanding of the mindset of guys in their twenties.

As coaches Go

Mike Tomlin has a knack for giving the players thier due, he probably has more insight than the previous two fantastic Steeler coaches and I do not believe Grimm nor Wiz could get better performance by our team
