Richard Quinn visits steelers
Could definitely be Spaeth's replacement...
"Terrific size and bulk...Strong and powerful...Outstanding blocker...Is stout at the point of attack...Gets a good push in the run game...Able to fit in space...Understands leverage, positioning and angles...Adequate hands...Uses his frame well as a receiver...Real tough...A hard worker. "
Isn't going to WOW anyone with his catching ability or YAC, but when was the last time Spaeth has?

Interesting...
The FO likes North Carolina guys who barely produce in college (Willie Parker).
As much as we all rag on Spaeth, he was awarded the John Mackey trophy as the nation’s top TE in 2006. He has ability, he just never shows it. Time to go.

Spaeth is a big bummer because of the reasons you mention. We draft Miller, another Mackey guy, and he has a very nice rookie season, we win the superbowl. The steelers say “hey, that worked pretty well”, draft another Mackey guy, and…
Can’t fault the FO for picking him when they did. Spaeth came out of college with plenty of catches and yards, big target for Ben, good ball skills – should have been a great pick up for the red-zone.
He has made little progress in gaining strength to block and gets pushed around. When he is open he can catch the ball but how often does that happen? The amount of times I’ve been able to see Miller peel off a block in the red zone…
Spaeth’s positives are marginal and can be replaced by someone who excels at his weaknesses and can match his positives. Personally, I’d love to see some competition for him this year in camp.
Don't worry about the haters. Haters only hate.

Any idea what round we’d be looking at this guy in?

Idk,
I like Spaeth, he might not be the best blocker, but he seems to be a good receiver, and he reminds me a lot of Kevin Boss on the Giants.
It's true what they say...Even the NFL's Big Wigs hate the Steelers. On the plus side, I can now tell my future grand kids about Hines Ward and how the NFL made rules because of him. Roger Goodell, you make me sick.

I like spaeth to, but he isn’t very good at football.
He can catch the ball, but other than that he isn’t a good receiver. He isn’t open often (scheme & ability), he gets no YAC.
Don't worry about the haters. Haters only hate.
