Do You Have A Steelers Tattoo?

I'm thinking of getting a tattoo to show my loyalty and love for my favorite team. This is something I've been thinking about for years, as I'm now 40 years old and have no tattoos yet, so this is not something I take lightly. When I was a teenager, I told people that I didn't think there would ever be anything I would feel strongly enough about to have permanently etched on my body. The past few seasons have changed my thinking, and a while back I told myself that if I ever went to Pittsburgh to see a home game (I've been to a couple of away games), I'd get my tattoo then and there.

I'm wondering if any of you want to share your tattoo stories, pictures or even contrary opinions (I'm still not 100% commited). I'm going to try to meet up with an out-of-state buddy of mine at the Raiders game this year, so it may be time to bite the bullet. Tell me what you've got, where it's at. How much do you love it, or how long did it take you to regret it? You can even recommend a Pitt tattoo parlor you favor. Or just tell me I'm nuttz, and I should buy a pair of shoes instead........

I'm in the exact same boat, only ten years younger.

It’s gonna happen, just not sure when.

"Damnit mom! You almost ran over Greg Lloyd!"

at an autograph signing back in 95. He walked out in front of our minivan, and my mom almost hit him. He apologized.

I always thought

an AJR tattoo, just like the one on the Steelers’ 1988 uniforms, for the man who made it all possible, would be a sweet tattoo.

Get a huge portrait of Tomlin on your back. That’d be cool.

who no longer has the time to hang out over here, he has one. He writes the Cardinals blog on SBN, but he has a Steelers tat. Love it.

I'm 43 and don't have one yet either, but have pretty much decided to

get one of the logo perhaps 2-3inch or so. My wife has a couple of tats and they’re cool. I’m definitely gonna keep it simple when I get it done and most likely going on my arm or maybe shoulder. If I like it I may get another Steelers logo tatooed on my ass cheek so raven’s fans will have something to kiss.

Could always get “The 7th Lombardi” with an arrow pointing somewhere…

Only problem is you’d have to get it updated every few years.

Don't worry about the haters. Haters only hate.

No tattoos for me

It is against my faith to put markings on God’s Temple, my body. No tattoos or piercings. I think they look ugly anyways.

As a Steelers fan living in Cleveland, less than a mile from the browns training camp I am in the same boat. I want to get a tatoo on my arm or leg. I have not been able to come up with anything but the logo. I liked the ARJ 1988 patch, any other thoughts.

RE: Tatts....

Gents,

I’m 38 and proudly display several Steeler tattoos…..I have 1st one on my right shin (mid way between ankle/knee) of the Steeler emblem…..got it back in 1998. Currently I have 5 out of the 6 Super Bowl roman numerals on my left tricep ….(residing in Iraq at time of Super Bowl and for a few more months) so of course I will add to my collection upon my return to the good old U S of A! My only comment to you or others interesting in getting any tattoo of any kind…..2 things they are addictive…and make sure its what YOU really want…..they dont just wash off!! good luck and cant wait to be in Pittsburgh for my next home game this year!!! Lombardi #7 awaits !!!

Steeler Tatt

My friend has one of the coolest Steeler tats i’ve seen. He got the “cycloids” each about 2 inches big on his side or rib cage. It looks really cool but he said it hurt like hell. I just think it is different than the standard symbol on the arm.

yeah sure man

Try and show a little youth left
I’m just joking. Most of us are younger so we make fun of 40

I have one.

Its on my back and it is the normal emblem. My only advise would be like someone metnioned, go with all black. gold blue and red do not take well to most people. I made that mistake and have recently had the guy go back over it in all black.
