BTSC Takes A Tour Of SB Nation
With the off season currently providing little to nothing in the way of Pittsburgh Steelers news I thought it was a good time for BTSC to take a tour around SB Nation and provide you with some articles that are really good, funny, or interesting to pass the time on a Thursday afternoon. -DYM-
A lot of West Virginia Mountaineer fans are also Steeler fans and SB Nation recently added a WVU blog, called The Smoking Musket. I have been checking it out recently and they have been putting some good stuff together. The most recent post is regarding Urban Myers' asinine comments and actions towards a alumnus and broadcaster. For the complete details on the situation check it out, here.
The guys over at Battle Red Blog conducted an interview with the Houston Texans current Right Tackle, Eric Winston. Winston recently started his own blog as well and seems like a sharp guy. The AFC South is one of the toughest divisions in football, but I think the Texans have a legitamate shot at competing and at least earning a wild-card spot in the 2009 playoffs.
For you Bucco fans time to check out the Buc's dougout for info on the MLB draft. Seriously who gets into the MLB draft?
Beyond the Boxscore is a blog based on the concept of sabremetrics from my understanding and they do quite a bit of statistical analysis some of which is beyond my comprehension interest. But today they have an excelent post about what major sports championships are the most difficult to win, I am surprised the National Championship in football is ranked as one of the hardest, I would of thought the NCAA Basketball tourney would be much harder.
I'm not going to link to a specific article but rather just a suggestion to check out Bloody Elbow, the SBNation site on Mixed Martial Arts. I myslef am not a huge fan of the sport but will watch it occasionally, but the Bloody Elbow site is very popular and has a lot of great information and conversation.
I just found this one today and I might give it a read every now and then considering I could stand to lose a few pounds. But evidently SBNation has a site devoted to male fitness. Looks to me like the guys running it are having a good time mixing in a sense of humor along with trying to help themselves and other live a healthier life. I feel like I have done some sort of community service by giving them a shot out.
Blitzburgh might have some man-love for Drew Brees, but I am starting to develop some for LeBron James, check out the Clevaland Cav's site and check out how dominant LeBron and his team have been so far in the playoffs.
Last, but not least a non SB Nation site that is hilarous called Akward Family Photos and the name reflects exactly what the site is about. Check it out they are only a few months old but they are already have a tremendous following, and even got a plug from Time Magazine yesterday.

Big WVU fan here, but they should have called it the “Smoking Couch”, not the smoking musket!!
Akward Photos
Is the most oddly interesting site I’ve seen in a while. Spent a little time flipping through the pages and found the most disturbing image, maybe ever.
Look through and find one titled “The Wonder Years”, wrong on ALL levels. Borderline in the legality department. Who came up with the idea for that picture?
I went and found that.
Ouch.
Sure he can score goals, but can he cook?

But really though...
Who looks at those suits and says “Yeah, that’s sounds like a good idea! Let’s do it.”

More Photo Hijackery.
This one gets credit for the creepy not a person in the photo, but seriously, look at the little girls eyes.
I think perhaps the little girl removed the other person from the photo, she belongs in a Stephen King movie.

Re; LeBron
0 titles
KB24; 3 titles and counting. Hope the rest of the Lakers show some heart and we have a Cavs/Lakers NBA Finals. Go Lakers!

No doubt shake. But he better start soon. Kobe got his first title at about 21. Of course he had the Zen Master, the Diesel, D Fish, Horry, Harper and Vanessa’s husband helping…
As a side note I was real disappointed in KB early in his career because of his ball hogging skills and that he chased Shaq out of town. He has matured greatly since then and needs a title of his own for his personal redemption. He also needs the guys around him to step up and show some heart like the Boston team shows.
Tip in 2:22 and counting!

we will see
I am also hoping for a cavs vs lakers. Just saying Kobe got his rings with Shaq none since.

It’d be something if Kobe and the talented team he leads could put down the Rockets who boast Artest and Battier. Sadly Kobe and the Lakers are letting them hang around. I wonder what happened to Kobe’s killer instinct.
I hate Kobe and all Lakers, in case you couldn’t tell.

Kobe
has the killer instinct. The problem is the other loafers he plays with that show very little sense of urgency. Don’t know if they have the collective heart to win a championship this year regardless of what happens against Houston…but I’ll be at Staples Center rooting.
When You Run The Ball Good Things Happen
dude it's a cleveland team
and the lakers stink too. well cavs don’t but still it’s a clev team we shouldn’t ever see anything about love for that city or it’s teams in steeler country
the burg doesn't have a bball team so no reason to hate

King James
Boy I thought the Cav’s were going to lose that game last night but man King James was clutch. Now they need to take that momentum and win again.
