James Harrison refuses to attend White House trip
"This is how I feel -- if you want to see the Pittsburgh Steelers, invite us when we don't win the Super Bowl. As far as I'm concerned, he [Obama] would've invited Arizona if they had won," said Harrison.
Harrison also skipped the Steelers' visit to the White House in 2006 following their victory in Super Bowl XL.

I'd disagree with James,
But then I think of that TD in the Super Bowl.
Either way it’s great to live in a country where a man is free to stand up the nation’s leader with no actual repercussions, and yet this will probably be turned into the news item of the week by Thursday.
Sure he can score goals, but can he cook?

Lol
Deebo might still be a little tipsy from those Superbowl after parties. Any team that wins a Championship in almost every American Sport goes to meet the President. He’s said that he doesn’t watch football outside of game film, so maybe it’s the same way with other sports. Makes you wonder what does he do in his free time???
It's true what they say...Even the NFL's Big Wigs hate the Steelers. On the plus side, I can now tell my future grand kids about Hines Ward and how the NFL made rules because of him. Roger Goodell, you make me sick.

I can't believe this has not generated more comment
This type of comment by Harrison makes me question why the team gave him so much dough. Talk about lack of judgement: is the team so desperate for motivation that it needs him to float this ridiculous us-against-them bullsh*t? Does he still think that nobody respects the Steelers? I could understand why he skipped meeting the most reviled President in recent history in 2006, but I wonder about the sanity of an African-American choosing to boycott meeting Obama, even if Harrison turns out to be Republican. I now understand why up until the Super Bowl, we had not heard much from the man they call Deebo: it’s because when he does open his mouth about outside topics, nothing good can come out. And to think that Dan Rooney jr. is now ambassador for this White House!

Like his agent said it's not a political statement and no big deal
he’ll probably be in the weight room, b/c he spends like 10 hours a day there. If it was me, i’d probably go. Last time i checked it’s a free country and if he chooses not to go, big freakin deal. next topic.

I'm sure he's met Obama already...
All this does is increase the already growing legend of the man they call Mean James Harrison…
