BlitzKurtains Steelers: The State of our Historic Franchise

     Whats up BTSC??? Its been awhile since i wrote, but i guess nobody missed me hehe... Anyways just wanted to take some time out of my busy schedule to drop a High-5. Because i am High and i have 5 things i want to share my point of view on. Enjoy... And lets go Steelers!!! Our 09 squad better be fired up if they want a ring this year!!!

First i would like to praise the Front Office for the amazing off-season so far. Kevin and his boys did alot to make sure we had talent and depth at every position going into our camps and OTAs. Alot of people would have liked things to go another way when thinking about McFadden and Nate, but hey we injected alot of youth and talent at those two positions. What more can you ask for? And alot of people look down on our current draft class and say we failed to address our needs. But i say we did alot better than we did last year! Last year we got alot of guys who had unsteady production in college and were comin off injuries. This year we have a healthy bunch who all have had steady and solid but not spectacular production in their college years. Great job by the scouts this year!

Secondly i would like to touch on the young talent we have on our team. I am big on potential. I like players who are young, athletic, and can play ball. Since Tomlin took over its almost like there has been an age movement on our team. Every year the average age at a position goes down. And this year we have alot of youngsters with alot of potential. I can't wait to see how these young guys step up and take it to the next level. Will Ziggy help keep the line fresh? Will Bruce Davis help improve the pass rush? Will Timmons improve our run D? Will William Gay win the starting spot and improve our pass D? Will Mike Wallace ignite our return game? and thats just our Deffense!!! I know im not the only one who is so excited about the young talent on our team! This is the youngest and most competetive team we have had in awhile. This team has nowhere to go but up.

Third i would like to say stop the hatin on James for not goin to the white house. Silverback does what he wants. Do not question Silverbacks decision. If you cant say all that trash to his face than dont say it on this or any blog out there! All u haters are a waste of time and energy. Keep your trash talkin to yourself. Or the silverback will come for u...hahahahaha

Fourth i would like to please ask that you silence all Willie Parker trade rumors. The man has earned his spot on our roster. One injury plagued season and all the haters come out! Dont forget about the three 1,000+ yard seasons he had. Despite playing behind our below average OL. I say we pay the man and put the ball in his hands. He knows what to do and he does it really fast! Can you imagine Parker running past defenders who have been worn out from the pounding of Frank the Tank and Mendy? It sounds like a three headed monster! But we will see how Tomlin plans to use the many talented RBs he has. And trust me, Parker is still #1 on the depth chart in Tomlins mind. He is not goin anywhere anytime soon.

Lastly i will report the state of The Steeler Franchise. Things are looking great Steeler Nation, we have alot of good things to look forward to. We have added quality depth and talent to our already loaded roster. All of our coaches that led this team to a SB are back. We are returning all but 2 starters on D. There has been no negative news this off-season. Its a great time to be a Steeler fan folks!
