Amazing Series

This series and especially the last game was as good as the Super Bowl. It was just that good of a series.

Detroit is an incredible team, their execution and defense are phenomenal. The Pens were able to wear them down, and in the end execute and defend at Detroit’s level. We saw this team grow and evolve in front of us.

Incredible, one of the all-time great series.

Sure he can score goals, but can he cook?

City of Champions

I remember when the Pirates and Steelers did it…

I wonder if a team has ever won the Super Bowl and Stanley Cup in the same year before?

(What an amazing year… I was in Tampa… and I saw game 4 at the Igloo!!!)

Wow, I’m not a huge hockey fan, but games 6 and 7 were simply fantastic. Just incredibly intense and enjoyable. The 6-on-5 finishes for both games were real horrorshow.

I’m not a huge hockey fan either…but…I did catch some of game 5 and was amazed how fast and intense the action is.

I also watched the last 5 minutes of game 7…the last 2 I watched standing up! what an incredible finish, the rebound sitting there with a seemingly open net with like 3 seconds left on the clock. And then a great save!!!

Two amazing endings, two world champioships, one city!!!

Hockey’s pretty hard to get into because it doesn’t get much air time (at least in the U.S.) but if you manage to watch it (especially the playoffs) it really is intense, sometimes too intense.

I almost had a heart attack with that last second save by Fluery………I thought it was going in.

Not made for TV

Hockey’s biggest problem is it just doesn’t translate to TV very well. If you get a chance to see a game at the Igloo (Sorry, I still can’t think of it as Mellon arena) ESPECIALLY a playoff game — GO. You will be hooked.

I was at game four, and I came out of there with my ears ringing like I was at a rock concert!

Good game

I enjoyed the finals series, it was pretty much the only hockey I watched all year save for a few games I went to.

it was great watching the win and they did a heck of a job in the D.

Fluerry earned mad props and its amazing how good he was all series with the exception of that one bad night.

Pittsburgh does it again

You have to hate losing more than you love winning.

City of Champions, man I really wish there was a sport still on that I could watch. When does camp start?

LMAO

at the and the pirates part.

Can’t wait to hear about the Pens and the Steelers championships when the Steelers come to Cincy. Just bring me some Yuengling and I will call it even.

It's still a good season if we go 2-14 and beat the Steelers twice.
