Tomlinism Super Bowl

Here we go, the last two standing.  We will keep the voting open through the weekend and then Monday.  We will crown the champion Tuesday morning.  The 6-Seed is coming off three consecutive wins, the last a 53-46 upset over the host 3-Seed.  The 2-Seed is hungry and waiting, having finally dispatched the pesky 12-Seed by a wide margin, 71-28.

Poll
Which of these two Tomlinisms do you like more
#6-Seed: "I don't care how my players evaluate me. I evaluate them. How's your editor?" (Bristled after a reporter asked him how his players evaluated their coach)
581 votes
#2-Seed: "Every day I walk by five Lombardi Trophies, not five rushing titles." (In response to Willie Parker publicly stating that the Steelers needed to run the ball more)

The number 6 seed is only here because of the refs.

Don't worry about the haters. Haters only hate.

does it bother anyone else

that htese are more “great Tomlin quotes” than “tomlinisms”? Not sure how we’re defining these but I always thought of tomlinisms as a short, pithy, great turn of phrase that cast something in a completely novel light. iron sharpens iron, driven not hungry, etc.

sorta like the most badass fortune cookie you’ve ever gotten.

but eh, these won the votes.

I think number two is a tomlinism, it’s short and to the point, and more so it is an original as where Iron sharpens Iron and some of the others are taken from someone/something else…I think number 6 is was a great and witty quote that really encompasses his nature, but taken out of context it isn’t that good.

Personally I can’t wait to hear all of the whining from 6 seed bandwagoners. It didn’t get 2 feet down. Phantom calls by the refs. You didn’t review the last play where I saw it incorrectly because I was drowning in my tears.

Don't worry about the haters. Haters only hate.

This Feel Familiar...

The number 2 seed is going all the way to win the Super Bowl…

#2 FTW

It’s really not even close. That is one of the best quotes by a coach in any sport, ever.

The best of ...

the two is winning. It is unfortunate that the choices are targeting an individual in a negative light vice an overall positive “Go Steelers” sentiment.

Anyone else see the coincidence where

The two seeds in the Tomlinism Superbowl are the #2 and #6

In our last two superbowls we were seeded #2 and #6
