Once More With Feeling
They say one good turn deserves another. Fair enough. Here's one more compilation of memorable hits from Steelers defenders dating back quite a bit. I myself am not a huge fan of whatever that is that's playing in the background so just a warning you might want to start with the volume down a bit and go from there :)

I call Shenanigans.
Neither of these videos had the hit I was waiting for.
Greg Lloyd – Brett Favre, preseason. the guy bounced. Then went through a painkiller addiction from that hit. It was Preseason. Greg Lloyd, man I loved that guy.

Finally, Blitz.
Something other than Drew Brees. The first time he made me watch a Brees clip I was half-dressed. I wish I was joking.

Gotta be hard to compete
All those late night sessions where you walk in on him looking up just one more youtube clip of Drew. Just have to see him make that perfect fade pass one more time…
Welcome to the site btw.

Donnie Shell...
had many great hits, two of which are stuck in my mind and I was hoping to see on here. He once took Warren Moon out of a game when Warren was trying to tip-toe down the sideline, and another time he took out Earl Campbell straight up on a running play.
I was fairly young then so maybe my memory is a bit off or exaggerated. Either of those ring a bell for anyone else?

He also wore the best t-shirts ever. His disposition one was famous of course, but I was always partial to “Real Men ARE Black”.

Great video. Every Steeler hit compilation should have Styx’s “RENEGADE” playing in the background though. Just like on the Heinz Field Jumbotron.

Lambert vs Ward
Who wins?
Offense may sell tickets, but defense wins championships

This is Pittsburgh Steeler Troy Polamalu getting knocked around by the Pacific Ocean in Hawaii yesterday...
Minutes later, Troy caught the ocean going over the middle and smacked it right in the mouth. The ocean fumbled, Troy recovered and ran it into the endzone. The ocean never messed with Troy again.

Anyone know when the touchdown posts were moved back to where they are now?
I forgot that they used to be right at the beginning of the touchdown zone. It’s pretty amazing that they were ever there, such a dangerous place for them.

I can’t wait for the season to start I believe the “stairway to seven” should be very effective if all goes well:) haha. GOD BLESS THE BOYS! This schedule is not nearly as tough as tough as last years was. GO STEELERS!!! I sAY its time to make 7 this year we have a very good shot of winning it all…again.:)

"That’s been our story all year. We’ve got a team that doesn’t blink in the face of adversity. It’s never going to be pretty or perfect, if you will, but they’ve got a great deal of belief in one another. They’ve got a great deal of resolve, and it was put on display. Our defense gets a lot of recognition for what they’re capable of, and rightfully so, but what you saw from our quarterback and our offense at the end of that football game is what they’ve provided for us all year. When we’ve needed it the most, they’ve done it and done it big. That’s a rerun for us."

ouch, thats gonna sting in the morning
Man I wasn’t alive during the 70’s and obviously previous to that. But I have read tons of articles about there defense and the steel curtain and I have read things that former nfl players who played them and how scared they were and how at some moments even the greatest of the great would look at there defense waiting to spring with there missing teeth and big bodies and they wished so hard they had become that accountant or that lawyer. But seeing some of these hits and how hard they were I tried not to close my eyes but man that’s a lot of pain to deal with.
