To the Ladies and Gentlemen of this fine blog....I thank you.
Per my screen name, I'm an Altoona, PA native......Slippery Rock graduate.......and have been raised to worship the helmet with the 1-sided logo. This is home..
Been reading this blog for the past month now and must say that it is one of the best gatherings of "learned" Steeler fans that I've ever come across. I've finally got the guts to join and just wanted to say how much reading the daily 6 pack and the other entries brings a little joy into my day and only gets me more pumped for this season. (Salivating just thinking of it!)
I've been in the military for some time now and am currently a Medical Officer in the Navy serving onboard the USS Dwight D Eisenhower. We're currently deployed in the Arabian Gulf in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. I've been out at sea since right after the Super Bowl and (when I have internet access) I look forward to reading the posts here on BTSC whenever I can. We work 7 days a week, 12-15 hrs/day on the "IKE" and life can be tough at times, but rest assured, I love what I do and love my patients.
It's so nice to see that wherever I go, there is Steeler Nation. Again, thanks for the great posts and look forward to adding my 2 cents from time to time.
