City Of Champions!
I just returned from seeing the Familia in the City Of Champions. For those that no longer reside in the 'Burgh, Penguin Fever is still at an all time high. The Steelers are always on everyone's mind and at the end of the month they will all assemble in Latrobe in pursuit of Lombardi 7. I simply can't wait for that.
The Strip has been turned into one giant Penguin/Steelers store with tables and booths lining the streets with everything Penguin or Steelers up for purchase. The most popular item seemed to be the "On ice or grass Pittsburgh kicks ass!" tee shirt. Even my Cali cousins (along for the reunion trip home) had to purchase these for themselves and their kids.
I was sent the following video on You Tube and wanted to share it with everyone. It's a real tear jerker so have plenty of tissues handy. If it didn't link just copy and paste and you will get there. "Here We Go!"

back to the burgh
I just was back at the Burgh for the Indians vs Pirates game on the 25th. It was a blast to see the city still swooning over the the Steelers and Pens championships!.
Side note: It was my 1st game watching the Pirates at PNC park. Great ballpark, but it was hot as hell! I haven’t been to a Pirates game since Doug Drabek went to Hou in 93’. I had a blast seeing the downtown skyline.
I know it is a different sport, but there where a ton of Indians fans there. They all got along great. Service was fine at the sports bars, and there was no trash talking until the close ending in the 8th inning. Thx to HHS I wore my Oh State shirt seeing how I am not a fan of the Bucs or Indians at the game. It ended up being fun. I talked to the Bucs fans next to me about Tone between innings.:)

Interesting
about the Indians fans in that there were tons of KC Royals fans around the Strip and at the games when I was back. Guess it’s easy to get a ticket at PNC if you’re looking to travel to see your favorite MLB team.
As long as the FO keeps trading decent players for prospects every June/July (see McLouth, Morgan etc in 09) it will always be simple to get a ticket at PNC. Maybe a Rooney can purchase the Pirates?
