All of these are great
but I love the pairing here. The first is individual and says one thing, but the later is team oriented and says the opposite. He refuses to take the under on expectations.
Over expect and under excuse. I love it.

In a related story
I was razzing some Mets fans today when the Buccos pulled the sweep and their response was “it’s easy to sweep a team that is playing its 3rd stringers”
WAAAAAAAAAAAA!!
Go McCutchen – 2 for 4, 1 RBI, 3 runs scored, stolen base. We’ll miss you Nate.

Yeah, that was a pretty jarring trade. I think they made the right move, but trading the face of the franchise is pretty risky as far as fan support is concerned, even if he was only an All Star because he played on the Pirates. We’ll miss him.

Ha ha ha, fan support. For the pirates? Good one BM.
Don't worry about the haters. Haters only hate.

If only the buccos management had the same track record as the Rooney family, I’m positive that this trade would be much easier to deal with. However, it has been quite a long road and restoring faith is going to take quite a while. Here’s hoping.

Yeah, you’re definitely right. This seems like the same old thing, even though I’d say it’s very different. It’s funny, the Steelers cut Joey Porter, who was the most vocal member of the franchise at the time, and no one bats an eye, but the Pirates trade a decent CF for some pretty solid prospects and suddenly it’s a good idea to boo the biggest prospect the Pirates have had this decade in his major league debut.
I guess they have to earn some respect before they get any, which is fair if you consider the history.
