It's a conspiracy!!
If you haven't yet read the full complaint filed by Andrea McNulty's attorney i suggest you head over to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette website and do just that. The long and short of it is that not only did Ben allegedly sexually assault Ms. McNulty but, and this is where her credibility completely falls apart for me, eight of Harrah's employees conspired to cover up the incident - one of the defendants going so far as to obtain a key to Ms. McNulty's residence to remove/alter computer files that relate to alleged incident. Let that sink in. Eight. Quick, someone get Oliver Stone on the phone. I think we have Harrah's chief of security behind the grassy knoll holding a smoking gun on surveillance tape.

Thats almost real
I really beleive her now. I mean eight people were trying to cover this up oh my god this is like a terrible horrible indie film that has a eight year old as the director this is rediculous I mean all i can do is laugh at this and with the terrible american legal system he will have to pay her some money.

I say
that this McNulty girl will be shown to have some kind of link to the Patricheats or New England, just like the “little old lady” who hit BB on the bike: her car had Mass. plates.
I know she sure did time this “lawsuit” nicely…..

Not the actual post-er he was commenting to, a glaring lack of the reply button no doubt.

I hear Billicheat had tape of the incident
but the former employee that has it is waiting to be summoned. McNulty McNutty is an agent of the Pats. She was planted there in April of 08. She backed out of the plot last year but the Pats got some blackmail pics of her from this April in Cancun. I hear the tapes are very graphic.
disclaimer: This is just a conspiracy theory.

Guys, It could be true
Do I think it is well, probably not, but the reasoning for it being false is also faulty. First of all she, according to her, was intimidated into not pursuing this by the hotel and she didn’t want to lose her job. That is reasonable and not at all out of the question if you think about it. The fact that she didn’t file criminal charges is also kind of logical. If thru intimidation she didn’t file right away critical physical evidence is long gone – this does not mean it didn’t exist. The evidentiary evidence changes from “beyond a reasonable doubt” to “preponderance of the evidence” when the case goes civil. Lie detector evidence i also considered with a higher regard in most states. If they give lie detector tests to anybody involved and they fail this whole thing could come down on Ben like a house of cards. This is what happened in the OJ case. Listen I always was a Big Ben fan in college and I hope this is completely untrue but it isn’t out of the question. Ben is no angel. He was well known for his womanizing and drunken escapades in college- not that I blame him. Brace yourself for the possibility that this could be true as it could be. I hope not – but it could be. As a Bengals fan I want to beat you guys – but not this way. I hope you believe that.

Fair points, JJ
You’re right, it is possible. Thanks for the concern.

some points
One point that’s being made over and over again is that there is no criminal complaint. I’m not a lawyer, but I’ve never heard of a civil suit for sexual assault, but then again, before OJ, I’ve never heard of a civil suit for murder, and that worked. What a crazy legal system we have.
I was surprised to hear that she was only seeking about 400 K in damages. I figured it would be at least 2 million. Supposed this is for her medical bills, but I’ve read elsewhere that her psychiatric hospitalization had nothing to do with the alleged sexual assault. If that is the case, why would Big Ben be held responsible for these bills. I think she and her lawyer may have picked such a low number so this would be more palatable to the other side, and make it easier for them to get a quick and easy monetary settlement.

you're forgetting
that they are seeking punitive damages. punitive damages are monetary awards excessive enough that will prevent the party in question from ever repeating the alleged offense again. they could run in the tens of millions.

Yet again another classless Patsies fan...
Are you and Babeparilli related? Kissing cousins, maybe?
It doesn’t take money to make a criminal case. If the D.A. found enough evidence to take it to hearing, then it would be on the state’s shoulders. Then if, IF Ben was found guilty, he would have to pay those court fees back as restitution.
Score another one for the Patriots fanbase…idiot.
Thank you drive through...

Pats fans
KNOW their team cheated it’s way to wins, so they jump at any chance they get to dirty up the image of spotless franchises like our Steelers. Plus, being obnoxious is about the only talent most Patsies fans have, so they like to flex….
BTW, NE: your coach ADMITTED that he was a cheater.
At least our QB will be proven innocent :-))
