Questions

Recent allegations against Big Ben had me worried.  After seeing what happened to Kobe, which was a different situation, I've made up my mind that 1) the media doesn't care what the truth is they want a story 2) You may not h ave actually raped someone but if people believe that you did then your perception and how you are treated will be of that of a convicted rapist.  Not that I don't believe that Ben couldn't rape anyone its just that I didn't know and whenever there is something like this arise there is a danger that it could be true or that people may think its true.  If it is true then Ben would deserve everything he gets but if its not true its another story of someones fame being taken advantage of and how our media slanders people's good name.

Star-divide

But it wasn't until I read the details of the filed complaint from Mr. Florio's, whom I despise,  page which can be found here,  http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2009/07/21/complaint-gets-very-specific-regarding-interaction-between-mcnulty-roethlisberger/. I've stayed to at Harrah's in Las Vegas in July 2008.  I'm not sure if it differs from the one in Lake Tahoe.  I've seen what their staff wear and most people can vouch that hotel staff do not wear dresses.  Harrah's employees wear a read shirt with white lettering that says harrahs and black pants.  Here is an excerpt from Florio's page:

McNulty admits that she didn't try to fight Roethlisberger, citing his size and strength.  She claims that she "communicated her objection and lack of consent," and that he nevertheless began "fondling [her] through her dress and between her legs."

So if this lady was on the job why would she be wearing a dress?  Is this some different type of hotel where they wear a dress?  It doesn't make sense to me.  Unless this was something special, I know that Harrah's employees don't wear dresses.  Plus if you pay attention to the story you noticed that ben had various women with him through it.  So why would he be so hard to pursue this young lady?  Not to say that it couldn't happen with the ego filled celebrity who can't take no for an answer that are walking around today.  Is Ben that guy?  I dunno, but it seems strange for such a large hotel who is often have to deal with large demands of people, expecially for that day, wouldn't have someone available to go and fix ben's TV for her, I'm pretty sure that they had everyone at least on call.  She said she couldn't reach anyone.  Not that that is impossible either, I just question it.  In my opinion this story is filled with holes but I may be biased.  I just feel a lot better about this now when I hear the story.

But the legal system is so slow, who knows when this might get settled.  I got a feeling this will be sticking around for a while, what Ben needs to do is go ahead and call a conference, address the situation, and answer the media because until he does, they are gonna be on this story like bees on honey.

She was working on the penthouse floor in an upscale hotel as a concierge. It might be possible that she dresses differently than your average employee, including possibly wearing a dress.

About her attire

ESPN News just reported that she is an excutive VIP host. To my knowledge, casino hosts typically wear more professional attire which is suits for men and ladies suits or dresses for the women.

Can we have any further posts about this topic labeled as such so I don’t mistakenly click on them thinking someone is talking about football?

I'm sorry

I just assumed that this was about football. I mean we talk about free agency, front office stuff that doesn’t deal with directly on the field, so didn’t believe that it was that serious. This has to deal with our title hopes of this year, and the play of our starting QB, i think its football related. How does ben deal with this controversy, he’s never had anything like this before. I can’t imagine that you not the least be concerned about this ordeal. And there isn’t much to talk about that hasn’t already been talked about concerning football. I apologize if my thoughts on this case was a waste of your time.

You can post whatever you want, it doesn’t matter that there are 6 fanposts dealing with this issue and a mega-front page post. My only request was that you make the fanpost title more obvious. This issue does seriously relate to football, but most conversation is regarding completely different trains of thought (what rape victims should do, whether the plaintiff is a gold-digging hussy, etc.).

If I want to have those conversations I’ll get back into one of the fanposts or, more realistically, talk about it in real life. When you put up a fanpost with the title “questions” it’s completely ambiguous. It could be about gossip, or it could be about football. If it was “Questions about McNulty’s Dress” I would have avoided it like I would avoid a gossip magazine. If it was “Questions about the 3-4 defense” I would love to digest it.

Labeling is important, that’s all I’m saying.

Use any title you want

it’s YOUR post.

Don’t let the in-crowd bully you into doing everything they tell you to. There is nothing too hard about clicking out of a link someone doesn’t want to read. You’re under no obligation to follow anyone’s orders here except maybe Blitzburgh, MaryRose or any other moderator i might have forgotten. Don’t let the comment-bullies bug ya…

IMO, this is very much a football topic since it could have a HUGE impact on the mentality of the Steelers franchise, championship-winning QB.

And i also commend you for taking the time to actually share your thoughts with the rest of us.

You may be onto something there

I’d look into it. I mean they may have different uniforms resort to resort, but that could be a flaw in her allegation. Email to Ben’s lawyer if you can prove that :).

I'll look into it

DYMS pointed out that since she had be catering to a different crowd she may have been in different attire, I didn’t know I just thought it was unsual she was wearing a dress. Ill look into it.

Yup-

that could indicate that she went to Ben’s room totally on her own time and NOT in any capacity as an employee. If she lied about that and gets caught in it it could destroy her whole silly claim. Good point.
