Troy Polamalu

I got bored this morning, and was trying to look up the Hines Ward rule. What I found was this...

Star-divide

NFL.com had this 'readers poll (towards the bottom-right hand side of the main page) of who the best safety in the league is. I am, of course biased and voted for Troy-boy. Unsurprisingly (or maybe not to us of the Black and Gold) Troy is second in the voting to, wait for it....Ed F-ing Reed!! (46% Reed, 35% Troy. 52,850 total votes).

WTF?!?!  Of course, Troy is in second place, but second doesn't count for much (example: every super bowl loser).

I'm plenty pissed about this, so I thought I would re-poll all of us here at BTSC, using the exact same players as NFL.com used. Just to see how many times mr. malor votes for big-mouth Ed Reed...hehe

PS. I hope I did this right. My first time using the fanpost format, but I hope to do more, and contribute to this great site.

Poll
Who is the best safety in the league?

119 votes
Brian Dawkins, Broncos
0 votes
Michael Griffin, Texans

WOW!

Gee, who’da thunk it? Over here Troy got almost all the votes! HEHE…

I am a tad disappointed though, I thought Brian Dawkins would have at least one or two. He really is/was a damn good safety(I say “is/was” because I don’t know how he played last year, since I don’t have cable. Therefore, I had to go to my local Steelers bar here in Portland Oregon, and since the birth of my son, I don’t have alot of money so I just go to watch BB and the guys).

Thank you drive through...

Hard hitting

Reed has the finesse, but he didn’t make as much contact as Troy did. Plus I’d say troy got more respect last season than Reed, which show who the NFL coaches thought was better.

He will be getting a lot more respect like try did this year, so he’ll have to work even harder for that title.

Reed is the better safety, IMO, and I'm a Steelers fan. Although Ed is a FS isn't he?

Although Troy is probably my favorite athlete to watch of all time. He has made the best plays I have ever seen on a football field.
