How awful would it have been if Santonio didn't score to win the SB?
How bad would it have been for Steelers fans after the greatest defensive collapse in SB history, with the #1 defense in the NFL on the field? I shudder to think about the depression I and all of you would have gone into. Probably similar to thet of Yankees fans after losing a 3-0 series lead to the Sox. I dare say it would have been a caticlysmic event for me.
By the way, I hope McFadden does well with the Cardinals, his role in the playoff game with the Colts was never really talked about much, but he made two fabulous plays on the last drive before the missed FG. Let me amend that, I wish him well except againt us.

You have no idea. I couldn’t think about baseball for weeks afterward without having to swallow some vomit.

Completely true. He came up big in that role, I remember him making those plays too. He nearly ended the game with one where he just missed picking the pass off.
"That Troy Polamaga guy looks like Predator"-A keen observation during Superbowl 43. Thanks to Walterfootball.

+1 I still don't like...
Johnny Damon as a player. He can bat .400 with 50 homers (not that he ever will) and I wouldn’t like him. I never understood when people didn’t like Wade Boggs when I was a kid. Now I know. And Boggs didn’t help the Sawx beat us in the playoffs, Damon did. Way to open an old wound and add salt grapes.

That's not easy to even think about because
We were only down 3. He drops the pass and we kick the FG, we go to OT. Now if he drops the pass and MISS the FG, then we have heartbreak like you can’t believe. Even if we lose in OT after a made FG, it was a good game and I wouldn’t have thought of a “collapse”.
Now that Yankees-Red Sox series………..one for the ages. I’ll never forget it and I don’t even like/dislike either franchise enough to talk about them.
wasn't it second down? Or am i mistaken...
probably was third down….
I tend to be positive rather than negative though. What if Tone caught the pass before that which sped right through his hands, very very catchable.
Yeah it was 2nd down.
I thought so too so I looked it up.
From ESPN:
bq. 2nd and 6 at ARZ 6 (:42) (Shotgun) B.Roethlisberger pass short right to S.Holmes for 6 yards, TOUCHDOWN.
