PostGameHeroes does good cop/bad cop with Carey Davis
This is well worth a read, and I'd like to start the conversation by saying the bad cop should just shoot the good cop in the face and cut Carey Davis already.
My opinion: Davis isn't even a gunner. He can't block in the backfield. Not useful with the ball in his hands. Not even the second or third best lead blocker already on the team. Cut!

I want to make this abundantly clear:
I do not condone, support or otherwise wish violence on police officers. Good cop is not a real cop, he is an argumentative jackass.
Guns don't kill people. Lamar Woodley kills people. (mattyc_77 on twitter)
This is one of those nice to have vs need to have problems.
Davis has quite a few nice to have qualities, but we know he doesn’t offer what we need to have. The others have flashed a little of what we need to have, but it’s too soon to tell if they’ve truly got it. Do you gamble for 7 or play it safe with 3?
This is why there’s a preseason, IMO.
Between...
…Summers, Johnson, McHugh, Mewelde Moore, Donovan Woods, Patrick Bailey, Keenan Lewis, Ratliff and Burnett (not including Redman as Davis doesn’t really run with the ball in hand in goal line situations) anything Carey Davis can do is upgraded.
I know a huge number of people who should be in the know say he’s a lock for the roster but other than being versatile (and curiously not more than slightly above average at anything) there is just no reason to keep him around.
"Davis doesn't really run with the ball in hand in goal line situations"
Wanna bet?
If you want to be most accurate I guess you can say that even though he got it, he still didn’t really run with it.

I meant shouldn't really run with the ball ;)
But hey, I guess you can add Redman into the list of people who are better at things Carey Davis sort of does for us list too then!

I heard Duce Staley
stands with ball in hand
