Shaq vs. Big Ben

The premiere of Shaq's new show was last night and had him going up against Big Ben. It was a silly reality show but I admit it had its entertaining moments. Check it out below, including cameos by Coach Tomlin, Charlie Batch, Kiesel and Trai Essex.

It’s not often you see Ben look small but Damn, Shaq’s big.

I love how intense they both got, esp. Ben on that last drive. You’d think he hates to lose or something.

I was impressed with Shaq, he was running a back yard offense and pulled some stuff off, loved the trick play.

I doubt any of the other athletes will be as entertaining as Ben though.

The sports version of japanese iron chef.

Willie Colon doesn’t get flagged because he has long arms; he gets flagged because he sucks. - cliff harris is still a punk!

Have to say, the shots of pittsburgh are quite pretty.

Now that I actually have watched this…it must have been weird for Ben to throw the ball without getting hit afterwards.

That’s why when Shaq told Ben he used to be a TE, Ben asked if he could block.

My "game-manager" QB just won the Super Bowl, while your stat-whore of a quarterback sat on his couch and watched!

Shaq got robbed.

On Shaq’s pick the DB completely shoves the WR out of the way when the ball is in the air, but it was nice to see Roe win.

Shaq is pretty funny, although I doubt I’ll watch any other episodes as I only watched to see what Roe was doing.

Love Shaq

as the B52s sang. What an entertainer. Also the most dominating player I ever saw play (although MJ and Magic were a better players) Loved a couple things about the show;

1) Ben spots Shaq HORS and then comes back to beat him on his home court.
2) Ben gave the kid in the wheel chair the thrill of his life by passing him the football at his practice and then high fiving him.
3) Shaq steps off the sideline (like Cowher should have against Jax!) and picks Bennie
4) Ben with another come from behind victory!

I think

that Shaq might have been a good football player if he had played for a 37 year old man he ran a 5.8 40 so if you think back to when he was in his early 20’s he would of ran a 4.9-5.1. He had a vertical of 11" 7’ so thats so explosion and ran teh 20 yard shuttle in 5.2 so he can move laterially so he might of been a servicable o-line player at ether right or left tackle if he had played football

TE

He would have been a beast at TE with those big soft hands and that big body. Could you imagine the Shaq Diesel in the red zone?

I’d put him as NT on passing downs. He could shut down the middle of the field by waving his hands in the air.

I think he might be more like a lineman

with those big arms he could take up half the field just by streching his arms out so i think he could have played OT maybe NT

A new position would be created for Shaq

Designated Field Goal Blocker (DFGB). Although he’d never had made the money in football that he made in bball.

Big Ben

It was fun and games, but you know Ben wanted to win, especially knowing he had to give up his SB ring for a week if he lost. Loved the intensity at the end. Shaq IS freakin’ big!!

I couldn't help but laugh when...

on 2nd and goal from the 1 ben said, “now this is when it gets hard right here.”
I know, i know, they have to pass in the competition but couldn’t help but laugh. very ironic

Ben was awesome in this show

Think about what ELSE was going on while this was being shot. Ben did a great job. Not much doubt that there’s enough charisma there to put him with any of the big QBs making the endorsements these days. He is as funny as Manning, without the Huckleberry added in.
His best line was when Shaq told him he played football when he was little ……..Ben deadpanned – “When were you little?”
Pretty cool stuff for a young guy going through the worst week of his life – and on that subject – GREAT to see what has been coming to light in his civil case. By the time this is over, the gold-digger is going to owe Ben some cash in a defamation suit!
