It looks like McHugh will be getting surgery, and will be out at least the next 2 preseason games (it's usually 4-6 weeks for a "cleanup job"). Does Tomlin go with TE David Johnson as the 3rd TE and cut McHugh? How does this decision affect other roster spots? Will this increase the chances for guys like Redmond, Logan, and Summers to make the team? Has anyone heard anything about whether Johnson can play well on special teams? I know Johnson was generating a lot of buzz over the last few weeks as being a very good blocker, so it seems like the injury might make Tomlin's decision a little easier.
