X Factors

Ok so I noticed last year James Harrison played special Teams.....Do you guys think that are starters will play a large special teams role or will Patrick Bailey, Bruce Davis, Fox, Harrison, Wallace, etc be able to handle the duties??

And whats up with the Wildcat O? I know the OC said we wont run it, but i think making teams prepare for an extra wrinkle cant hurt....get Dixon in the game and maybe even help us with our redzone issues......Gimme some input

Roethlisberger

He is too clutch of a performer to be pulled when our offense is in the redzone. We will most likely stick to our gameplan, and keep dixon QB as a backup. We have a set offensive scheme that I see us following that will mostly include play action passes and goal-line carries in the redzone.

Wildcat / Copycat

Why is it that since Miami ran the Wildcat last year with a modicum of success, suddenly every team needs to have a Wildcat package. And why is Miami getting credit for this formation anyhow? This formation goes back centuries. Teams adjusted to defend it before and they will again. Trickery is all it is. Great.

IMUO, teams should focus as much time as possible game planning each week to simply “impose their will” on opposing defenses. You want to toss in a trick play here and there? Super, I loved Whiz’s propensity to do so. But I guaranty you, the Steelers focus each week then and now is blocking schemes and route running, as it should be. Why take away from those reps and jeopardize your ability to execute come game time?

The only managing Ben does is he manages to WIN games

Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!
