Tennessee Titans @ Pittsburgh Steelers: 2nd Half Open Thread
Well, if nothing else, I think it's safe to say that the 2009 season is going to be much like the 2008 season. Inconsistent offense, timely defense, solid special teams and loads of frustration for those fans looking for perfection out of the Black 'N Gold. It's 7-7 heading in to the 2nd half. The Titans will get the ball first and all eyes will be on whether or not Troy Polamalu and LaMarr Woodley return to action after being dinged up in the 1st half. Polamalu went to the locker room early after having his knee tweaked when Alge Crumpler fell on it. Woodley apparently is dealing with cramps.
Come on Steelers! Dig out a tough victory in what could be the team's toughest opponent all year.
Go Steelers!

I am an eye surgeon, of course went to medical school
I am not an orthapedist, however, this injury to 43 could easily be an MCL, meniscus injury, and unfortunately, even an ACL injury. Please realize that just because you can walk up a flight of steps, doesn’t mean you do not have ligament damage. Easily could be a torn ACL

i’m no fan of the guy, but the line actually blocks there and we’re all praising him.

pass protection
i’m realizing this.
arians likes to pass, arians finds OL who can pass protect but not run block. Then says, hey, we can’t run block, gotta pass some more.
but they’re really not bad at pass pro

Don't worry
Collinsworth is blaming him enough for everyone.
“If he would have just taken a knee.” Who the hell would take a knee in that situation? It was just a good strip and a bad break for us.
I miss Madden.

yea true
but this is just like last year. we’re not going to light up good run defenses but we shold be able to fare better against weaker deenses. what we saw is we’re still top notch on D and still haave an upper echelon QB. ill take that

He’s having a great game – actually I think Santonio Holmes just passed Sherlock Holmes to become the 2nd greatest “Holmes” of all-time. He still has a LONG way to go to catch Johnny for the top spot…

This is Pittsburgh Steeler Troy Polamalu getting knocked around by the Pacific Ocean in Hawaii yesterday...
Minutes later, Troy caught the ocean going over the middle and smacked it right in the mouth. The ocean fumbled, Troy recovered and ran it into the endzone. The ocean never messed with Troy again.

maybe. mendenhall, whatever else you say, has good hands
and a bit more threat between the tackles than moore
