so how good is he really?  he seems to have a pretty good run this year...but its suspect.  the broncos aren't known to have good offensive line...yea yea we dont either...

and  he was up against a backup guard against the packers.  any info on this guy?

I havn't heard of him much and he wasnt great last year nor was he much of a playmaker with the titans...hence left...

Au contraire mon frere

The Broncos are thought to have a good offensive line by many. The Packers, against whom he registered five of his sacks, are not generally thought of as having a good line. But Odom was dominating the starter before he went out anyway.

That said, the Packers game was a fluke. Even as Odom was racking up sacks the Pack failed to rotate the scheme to Odom’s side. Although I loathe saying anything positive about Arians, he won’t let Odom rack up any more than two sacks without rotating some protection. That said, think he only gets one anyway on Sunday.

Odom won't register 5 sacks in a game ever again.

But, he’s a good player and he’s got a chip on his shoulder after missing the entire year last year. He beating GB’s starter and replacement to the edge, and when he didn’t, he was pushing the tackle back into Aaron Rogers.

I would not be too terribly worried about him if I were a Steeler fan this week.

That being said, the rest of the Bengals front 7 are pretty good. Rey Maualuga forced 2 fumbles last week and had a sack, Keith Rivers is still as solid as ever (insert Hines Ward joke here), and everyone that plays on the defensive line for the Bengals is solid at worst.

I expect a really good game this weekend, and Odom might or might not impact the game.

I honestly think this game comes down to if the Bengals are able to rush the ball at all, and if Ben Roethlisberger makes a mistake.

For the first time since 2005, I’m fairly optimistic of the Bengals’ chances, but this time, it rides on their defense and Benson, not Carson Palmer.

7 sacks in 2 games says you're pretty good...

One more multi-sack game and he’s a pro bowler.
So to answer the question, he’s potentiall pro bowl good…

He is not Pro Bowl good

You’ll see on Sunday. If Starks can pretty much dominate Kyle Vanden Bosch, he will keep Odom off of Ben.

Vanden Bosch certainly benefitted from Haynesworth

As did Odom, who was on that same defensive line 2 years ago. Now, Odom is benefiting from large DT and skilled LB.

I agree I dont think they will take that big of a chance on Ben getting hurt , i am sure they will be ready for him, the GB game he was getting past a rookie , and Starks is no rookie and Starks is a lot bigger than that guy that was trying to block him, I think Starks will do fine.

he's not under the radar

not after a 5 sack event. So the Steelers won’t be taken by surprise.

But still, the Broncos put there best guy on him (Clady)- and the Steelers don’t have anybody in the same skill level as Clady. Neither of Odom’s sacks were when he was lined up against Clady.
Through 2 games, Odom is clearly different than the guy who got injured at the start of last year’s training camp.
