So James Harrison is a beast.... this is well known. I've played football since i was in pop warner back in 6th grade and was a defensive end coming up. That being said, i've laid some hits on people, but have also had my bell rung as well. So when James Harrison comes out and says i don't want to injure people, but i'm ok with hurting people, i understand..... but to say that and have the national media pick up on it i think is just bulletin board material for every other team playing us (the steelers) this year.
When i played it was speak softly and carry a big stick. You didn't talk shit to fire up the other team, you just went out there and knocked their head off. With this new rule coming down in the NFL that says if you hit someone and injure them, whether the hit was legal or not, you're going to get suspended.... I guess where this is leading to, should James Harrison have just kept his mouth shut and went out there and killed people? or will this new talk of hurting people and not caring, make him a target in the NFL....
