What's the point of having a Facebook page for a blog like Behind the Steel Curtain? I'll admit I've wondered the same thing, and am still skeptical in some regards. Most of my SB Nation brethren have set up a page a long time ago, but only recently was I incentivized to do the same. Two reasons why: 1) Quite honestly, SB Nation has set up a small incentive program for us to do this. The cash is minimal so I'm not on some mission here. Even if I do hit the benchmark, I plan on just investing the remuneration back into the site in the form of a promotion, fantasy football prize, etc. But hey, might as well take advantage. 2) I think the BTSC FB page may just be our solution to where to allow certain discussions. Quite frankly, I don't mind if certain folks want to venture into the thorny world of political discussion there. With just a little bit of organization, we can easily designate a place each week for those of you who want to extend your conversations beyond what's 'acceptable' here. So if you're so inclined, use that space how you see fit, and if you're not at all inclined, still consider at least visiting for a quick two seconds to 'like' it. I'd appreciate either or both gestures. We'll see what happens with it.
