We very well may be witnessing the greatest rush defense of all time this season in our 2010 steelers D
Even without mr. Aaron Smith (arguably our best D lineman) and a banged up Brett Keisel, this defense is on pace to set a new record for rush yards per game allowed in a 16 game season. The record is currently held by another one of the all time great defenses, Ray Lewis' 2000 balitmore ravens, who finished the season allowing only 60.625 yards/game. We are currently averaging 60.1 yards/game, with 3 games left. I believe the record is well within our reach, and imagine if we never lost Smith, we were averaging like 50 something a game in the games he started for us before the injury. Just a little something to ponder as we very well may be witnessing history in the making with our current run D.
