1st Quarter, 6:58 on the clock; Ravens ball. 3rd & 15, and the Ravens are pinned back on their own 3yd line.. Joe Flacco drops back for the pass and connects to Boldin for 60yds starting the drive that would result in the Ravens only touchdown of the night!

Too bad the NFL missed the facemask on Troy Palomalu that should have been called and directly affected the play.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE watch this video and explain to me how a face mask call this aggressive can be missed so easily?

hardly the call to be getting worked up about. how about what broke bens nose? or the blatant H2H hit that took Heath out? you cant tell me that in the entire game this is the call youre most angry about.

I agree

This was a bad missed call, but these things have been happening for years. I am much more upset about the hit to Ben’s nose, Miller’s head, and the way how Suggs grabbed Ben’s helmet on that amazing almost-sack late in the 4th. These should have been three flags for 45 yards against Baltimore.

It is also amazing that this happened to the Steelers, the team that has been the most vocal about consistency in calling personal fouls.

if you look athe the Suggs play

You will see he slapped Ben’s head first before grabbing the helmet which iirc is called an illegal blow to the head or some such thing.

I get worked up over each and every bad call....

but this call is definitely a HUGE play….the score would have been different if Troy had made a play here. Maybe caused a safety, maybe forced a punt from the end zone, maybe put an end to the 1st half momentum the Gayvens had going for them….who knows, but one thing is for sure, the end result would have been different and we wouldn’t have to hear about how we were “given” the game…pffft!

Yeah maybe they could have called it

but you hardly ever see facemask called on the offense and it happens a fair bit. Most stiff arms could also be called for facemasks but they never are.

What I will say is Ray Rice, can this guy pick up the blitz or what? Ignoring the facemask on this one he gave a masterclass in how RBs should pick up the blitz. And against one of the teams it’s toughest to read too.

I hope Mendy and Redman get shown a lot of that in game review this week. I’m seriously impressed. Facemask aside…
