NFL Draft Predict the Pick

The SuperBowl is over. Saints won like I thought they would, now on to one of favorite times of the year: Draft Time

Star-divide

During my usual boredom period when I'm stumbling around, looking for something interesting, I came upon a contest on NFL.com called Predict the Pick. Basically it's a mock draft where all you do is click name into slots. You can do it as a individual or as a member of a league. To me this looks like something fun we could do as a league.

What do ya'll think about doing one?

It is a contest with prizes for the person with the most points. Here are the rules and how points are awarded

Too early to pick

I need to see who they resign and who they tag before I can decide who I think we will pick for certain. All that said, I will probably still get it wrong.

Ya I'm not plannig on doing it now

First off it still shows results from last years draft.

I getting tired of saying this: Dick LeBeau’s system is so complex very few rookies can make an impact.

I've grown on Cam Thomas and I'm leaning towards Earl Thomas in the 1st

then a CB or ILB in the 2nd and Cam in the 3rd… I posted about 2 months ago how we had to draft cam thomas.

I still like Travis Ivey of Maryland better than Thomas

and he will be available later to allow for other positions to be shored up first. I watched a few UNC games and he was decent but the juniors on that team are the ones that made the plays. Ivey at 6’4 341 (texas vs nation weigh in) looks almost sleek. He reminds me (build-wise) of Ngata of the Ravens. A friend of mine coaches for one of the Big East teams and knows the Maryland coaches really well and they love the kid. Says he is a good kid and a really hard worker who just wants a shot. That is Steeler Material.

Donovan Warren

If he runs a good 40 I think he’ll shoot up draft boards.

Doubt we have a shot at Campbell or Bulaga

But if either one is available then it should be an easy pick.

I would be happy with any of the three

But if somehow it came down to the three of them and Anthony Davis of Rutgers, I would grab davis. Campbell’s injury history make me wonder. I love Buluga but the docs will have to clear him as well as he had some thyroid issues this season.

we will represent the steelers and every other team has a fan repping them.
I also need a backup in case i miss any time.
