Around SBN: Raiders' GM Begins The Purge

From KDKA: Sources say Roethlisberger concedes that he did have contact with the woman that was not consummated and that afterward the woman slipped and fell, injuring her head.

What??? This does not sound good.

oh yeah

The ol’ “she slipped and fell and hit her head while we were ********” excuse.

/facepalm

For Ben’s sake, I really really REALLY hope to God that that is exactly, precisely what happened. Because if it isn’t, that has got to be one of the lamest, most ridiculous sounding excuses I have ever heard in my life.

time will tell

but I’m reserving judgment until I hear everything.

I have started to mentally prepare myself for a new QB....

…and a rebuilding phase for the Steelers.

Dennis Dixon

I think there is a good chance Ben is suspended, which has me talking myself into Dennis Dixon. He is probably the best option we have for this upcoming year, given whats available in FA (Delhomme and Anderson) and our draft location in the 1st round.

Anderson was great in the one year he was surrounded by some semblance if talent

I wouldn’t be averse to bringing him in…

As a Browns fan you should be averse to that, but for my team’s sake please have at him.

Look again at those 2007 stats. It was a couple of great games and definitely not a great year, especially the second half.

He single handedly lost the second to last game against the bengals which would have put the Browns in the playoffs. Not to mention his play against you guys when the Browns had a 21-6 lead. No heart when it comes time to win a game.

You're probably right

But the top 3 QBs will be gone at 18, and the other FAs are pretty bad. If Ben goes to the slammer or gets suspended, we might be relying on a late round pick or Dixon.
