We need a draft like 1987
One draft can make or break a team
This team is close to being dominant again, there are some great players in place.
If by chance they can repeat the 1987 draft success...it would be Christmas all year long..
Granted there is no Rod Woodson this year and a player of that caliber comes along few and far between - here are the defensive players picked up in '87:
Rd 1: Rod Woodson - 10th pick
Rd 2: Delton Hall S
Rd 4 Thomas Everett S
Rd 5 Hardy Nickerson LB
Rd 6 Tim Johnson ILB
Rd 6b Greg Lloyd OLB
Six unbelievable defensive players that suited the defense played those years. BTW, Tony Dungy was our defensive coordinator, Chuck Noll the HC. All of these guys were big hitters.
Would love to have such a draft in 2010!!

I'll take a draft like 1974
Players who should be in the Hall of Fame: Pat TIllman, Dwight White, Donnie Shell, L.C. Greenwood, Ray Guy, Steve Tasker, Greg Llyod, Andy Russel, Cris Carter, Kevin Greene and Jerry Kramer

Best Ever
Best ever draft for any NFL team. Swann, Lambert, Stallworth, Webster.

Plus Donnie Shell and Grossman
Both undrafted.

Delton Hall
Delton Hall was a cornerback… But otherwise, I agree, that was a spectacular draft that instantly upgraded the secondary and the defense as a whole. Would be great if we got close to that ANY year!
Consider it unleashed!
We should party like its 1969
With the 18th pick of the 2010 NFL Draft the Pittsburgh Steelers select Florida QB Tim Tebow. (not a RB!)
I did
in 1969

I'd like a draft like 2002
Kendall Simmons
Antwaan Randle El
Chris Hope DB
Larry Foote ILB
Verron Haynes
Lee Mays WR
LaVar Glover
Brett Keisel
I'm getting tired of saying this: Dick LeBeau’s system is so complex very few rookies can make an impact.
That won't work
all those guys are retired

I think we'd be fine with a draft like 2002
no stars but all but two are key contributers/starters.
