More charges for Ben?
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has been accused of sexual assault by a young woman in Georgia, TMZ has learned. The alleged incident occurred early this morning at Capital City -- a club in Milledgeville, Georgia. According to law enforcement sources, the alleged victim -- who has already been interviewed by police -- was treated at a local hospital and released. We're told in addition to the alleged victim, witnesses are being interviewed -- and one law enforcement source says they will attempt to interview Roethlisberger. In addition to the Milledgeville Police Dept, we've learned the Georgia Bureau of Investigations is also investigating. As we previously reported, Roethlisberger is being sued by a Reno woman, Andrea McNulty, who claims the QB sexually assaulted her in 2008. UPDATE: We're told Ben Roethlisberger has already been interviewed by police. We're also told no formal charges have been filed at this point. UPDATE 3:30 PM EST: A rep from the Steelers tells TMZ, "We are gathering information on this incident - until then we have no further comment." Story developing ... WTF???
Really?
The very existence of flamethrowers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, "You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."

Did you just respond with shock to a fanpost you created?

Ever heard of the guy who was so lazy he put popcorn in his pancakes when he cooked them hoping they would flip themselves?

I'm not saying it's true.....
But does he really need the negative press?

pretty sure the other story was broken by TMZ first
PFT has also called the police down their and they confirmed they are investigating a sexual assualt but refused to name the accused.
odds are they aren’t wrong with their report that this is happening. it’s far more likely it’ll come down to if he actually committed act/consent/etc.

If this is true
The Steelers should just let him go. I am willing to suffer few losing seasons without a good QB or until Dixon matures. His off-season incidences are getting ridiculous.
"He had no teeth, and he was slobbering all over himself. I'm thinking, 'You can have your money back, just get me out of here. Let me go be an accountant." I can't tell you how badly I wanted out of there."
- Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).
I'm hoping that it's a big "if"
Innocent until proven guilty. I have faith in him, but if he’s guilty, zero tolerance.
Let’s hope the accusations against him unravel like the Duke lacrosse case.
I am still under the believe that the accuasation last summer
Was false. This one we are waiting to hear back on.

We need to Draft Tebow!!!
I am sick of Big Ben and his bullshit…he is a never ending soap opera. His rings have provided a force field to protect him from some of his bullshit in the past. Needless to say if the following is true which I believe it is, then we have some serious problems.
-first, if the victim was at hospital as reported, not good for his sake if it becomes and -assault or rape case
-second, Goodell will not put up with any shit regardless if you are innocent or guilty. He takes the law in his own hands. A suspension if certain.
-third, I don’t think the Rooney’s can tolerate this type of alleged behavior. If they do they will create a double standard. Look at Ced Wilson(If I had to choose I would employ a wife beater over a molester)
-with only two viable QBs on our roster we need to take a serious look at reevaluating our draft,,with a month to go!
So let Big Jay pump out his Mock, and let me be the first to say every team that passes up on Tim Tebow will regret it. The kid has work ethic, drive, smarts, and he geniunley gives a shit. By the way his combine workout was legendary from the QB position, Mike Vick included.
Tebow isn't the solution
… that’s the last thing we need. You wouldn’t need proof to accuse the guy of rape. Just say he was party to an immaculate conception.
Troy Pull-a-muscle? :(
Not defending ben
Or any man who touches a woman. Ever.
Will say the difference between ben / james harrison and Cedrick Wilson isn’t talent, but the fact that Ced Wilson walked into a crowded restaurant and hit his wife. No he said / she said. Dozens saw it.

Lets not jump to conclusions
Lets let the story unfold. Going to the hospital just means she got a rape kit done, I believe. That still means she could have had sex willingly and then called rape. Or it could have been the opposite, which will be dealt with when we find out for sure.

give me a break. TMZ? might as well be the national inquirer for cryin out loud. puhleease. IF BB is guilty of either of these accusations, I would be completely shocked. This is more than likely about lawyers and money. Period. I will say that he needs to watch out where he goes and what he does, because lots of folks are out there looking for a payday. I will stand by the big fella until he is convicted of something. You people who are calling for him to get cut and blah blah blah are in need of some serious reality checking.
He trolls because he hates the Steelers.
Why? because that hatred is being fueled by pure green envy
More news from TMZ.....

Per TMZ
The woman accusing Ben Roethlisberger of sexual assault told police the whole thing went down inside the women’s restroom of a Georgia nightclub.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ the woman told cops she was inside the restroom of Capital City nightclub when the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback entered and allegedly assaulted her.
We’re told Roethlisberger has still not been charged with a crime.

womens bathroom
I am sure thats where I would go to rape someone!! Come on Man!
Seriously, this breaks my heart
When Andrea accused him of rape, I thought she was just another gold digger, but now he apparently did it again, it makes you wonder. I’m a huge fan of Ben and I live in Nevada, so it’s even more irritating. Hopefully, she’s just another dumb bitch talking shit because if it’s true, I might as well shake their hands and thank them for getting another filthy ass of a man off of the streets!
The woman’s bathroom? Somebody had to of seen what was going on. Especially if it’s a public facility.
The Police Press Conference
stated that they spoke to everyone that was in her party and several people at the club. No charges have been filed.
When You Run The Ball Good Things Happen
gold digger
Ben is an easy target, this is a big bunch of bull. Think about it 108million is enough reason to slander Ben!!!
Enough TMZ already :) ...
Atlanta Journal Constitution… the local newspaper, has this to say.
Officer David McNeely…
“At this time, he is not named as a suspect,” McNeely told the AJC in answer to a question about about Roethlisberger. McNeely said the police report described the suspect as a 6-foot-5-inch-tall white male, weighing about 241 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair.
Roethlisberger’s Agent Ryan Tollner…
… an allegation was made against Ben, which appeared to be dismissed after a preliminary investigation last night.
This is still one of those subjects that everyone should not jump to conclusions on either away.
As far as those two quotes made, the accused assaulter’s definition is as if someone read it of the back of a player’s card. And the agent says the allegations “appeared” to be dismissed. Wait and see I guess.

That helps a little bit
But, it’s still frustrating and it’s not fair to him. It’s like, he can’t do anything with a woman without having to worry about being accused of rape. Reminds me of women accusing their husbands of cheating when just go to the store for some freaking milk.
Not fair to him?
I do see what you mean Mini, but keep in mind, we don’t know either way. If you don’t think it’s fair on him, how do you think it would feel to a woman to whom the crime was committed, if of course it was committed at all (we don’t know). As fans, most of us will pull for our guy through this, we’re so used to hoping our guys pull through adversity every Sunday, I am too I guess, but we should wait to see how this plays out.

Sounds pretty fishy
I will say, if he did do it then lock him away, period. The whole thing sounds a little fishy though. It does bring to light a problem though. Poor judgement. He has to be smart enough to realize when you are famous you can’t just go around and xxxk everything in a skirt. Grow up and settle down, get a good girlfriend and stop doing your best Tiger impersonation. Pro athletes are targets so don’t put yourself in those situations. As far as guilty or not guilty, I will let the police figure that one out. As far as being a bonehead-guilty
Daughters
Many of us have daughters in their late teen’s and early twenties. Many of us have strived to teach them to be fine, self-respecting women who do not immediately think the worst of people. The thought of men prowling on them and forcing themselves on girls who do not wish to engage in any relationship is sickening. Good girls look into the eyes of this type of man and know immediately what their intent is. Often times they cannot get away and damage is done. Afterward women feel powerless to assert any wrongdoing against them because so often the men are defended for one reason or another. In athletes cases, they help win a super bowl or a world series, etc… I am not accusing R…berger of any crime here because I do not know the facts. But to blindly say that any accuser wants money in these situations is even more sickening. His agent’s remarks are terrible. He is linking any new accusation to the outstanding civil suit which he has self-labeled as untrue. Where there is smoke there is usually fire. All the world’s indeed a stage and we are merely players. Men throughout history who have done very bad deeds were often described as being a polite guy, helping children, helping neighbors, signing authographs. The other side is not seen by many people but to whom it shows itself is frightening.
by Oh, boy! Steelers on Mar 7, 2010 9:49 AM EST reply actions
I firmly believe that every member here would say lock him up and throw away the key if he did indeed commit the crime he has been accused of, myself included. What you say is true but like everything there are two sides to the coin. For every athlete who has taken advantage of his standing to do things that are less than desirable at the least and against the law and humanity at the worst, there are athletes who are targets and looked at as easy money by making accusations like we are dealing with here. Everyone just needs to step back and let the police do their job and we will see what happens. Look at the Syracuse Lacrosse team and the damage that was done to them by a similar accusation. Let the law be the judge because none of us have enough information to form a realistic opinion. If he is guitly then he belongs in jail for a long, long time. If he is innocent then he needs to stop putting himself in situations that can lead to things like this. He has a responsibility to his teamates, fans, and the organization that prides itself on character and has given him $100M+ reasons to do so.
No.
“Where there smoke there’s fire…”
No.
The fact that NEITHER of these alleged acts resulted in criminal charges says everything: there was no crime.
Period.
Until or unless that fact changes, BB and anyone else “accused” of anything remains “innocent until PROVEN guilty”.
My apologies for the extra emphasis, but the assumption that guys are evil is as unfair as the assumption that women don’t lie. Sexual assault, and in fact any assault, results in immediate arrest and criminal charges; if they don’t then there is no crime.
