Compensatory Picks
I was reading some stuff at TheJetsBlog and in a post by Bent I found this link. Apparently adamjt13 has been predicting, very accurately, the compensation picks for each team for about a decade.
From what he is saying the Steelers will likely receive two 5th round and one 7th round pick though the Nate Washington comp may end up a 6th instead of a 5th round. Three extra draft choices is nothing to sneeze at.
Hopefully I am not covering something someone else have covered here.

I would have thought a 4th and a 5th...Oh well...

i hope adam is wrong
and we get a 4th, 5th, and 7th. adam only bats about a 67% accuracy in recent years for players “on the bubble.” of course he’s still far more accurate than anyone else out there.
agn, although this could just be wishful thinking by me.
we MIGHT have a shot with a 4th. reason why i say that is cuz in ’09 this is what the results were from adam:
Indianapolis (Jake Scott, $4.8 million, 16/16) – possibly a fifth-round pick
FIFTH ROUND
San Francisco (Kwame Harris, $4.6667 million, 14/11)
New England (Donte Stallworth, $4.5393 million, 11/7)
so mcfadden $4.75mil 16/16 might have a shot.
Aaaaaachoooo!

I think
We’ll end up with a 4th, 5th and 7th. All traded to acquire Tebow.

I don't think he's serious anyways

I know he was not serious
But as part of a legit thread about the picks, I was making a point. In previous years, that has been a question. OK?

Have some coffee before you post, man...

Every year the Steelers
seem to get hosed out of decent comp picks. I expect MOTS this year.
If they do get a 5, 6 & 7, I say trade the standard 5, 6, & 7, the #18 and perhaps Sweed to move up and grab whatever stud is there somewhere at #9 – #11. Not to get started on Sweed, I’m all for keeping him around another year, but, if they can salvage some value this year rather than risk busting the entire 2nd round pick, I say go for it for the good of the cause.
The only managing Ben does is he manages to WIN games
I wouldn't mind trading up
to get some 2nd and 3rd round picks. Still some great players and a lot less expensive.
I may be old but I... oh d*mn, I forgot what I was going to say.

Limas Sweed Trade Value =
Zero.
Every team in the league knows the Steelers situation at wide receiver. They know they can acquire Sweed for absolutely nothing after he’s cut, which will be before the season starts.
If Anquan Boldin, a pro bowl caliber receiver is worth a 4th round pick then Limas Sweed is worth nothing.
+1 on the Sweed thoughts... at least get something for him, but I am really hoping he gets with Tone and starts hittin
the blunts so he can get his noggin right.
