Steelers technically have 10 WRs to work with. Ten? Evidently so, I found this list on the trib online
Here are the wide receivers on the Steelers' roster following the trade of Santonio Holmes on Monday:
Hines Ward -- 13-year veteran is coming off back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons
Mike Wallace -- Led the Steelers in yards per catch (19.4) as a rookie in 2009
Antwaan Randle El -- May need to play a bigger role following trade of Holmes
Arnaz Battle -- Figures to make more of an impact on special teams in 2010
Limas Sweed -- Holmes' departure provides 2008 second-round pick with an opportunity
Stefan Logan -- Return specialist may also need to contribute elsewhere to make team in 2010
Tyler Grisham -- Signed with team as a rookie free agent in 2009 and played in four games
The only thing that jumps out at me was that I forgot about Stefan Logan. He has some talent on the field catching passes. Sure hes very short but that could be an advantage on short routes with players not seeing his midget self.
With hines, wallace, randle el, battle, and throw in mighty mite logan we can realistically get by this year drafting a couple WRs in rounds 5 through 7.
Yep I said it...no wr in first four rounds. Lets handle our secondary and O Line first. and a running back in the fourth.
Carry on sports fans. The world didnt end. And if butterfingers grows some hair on his sack and catches a ball or two he might break the starting lineup. And you KNOW who im talkin bout.
