Here are my thoughts:

First off I think it is fair to say that this offseason is one that has been full of activity from the front office which was new in a way cause it has been so long since we have made many signings/ cuts. It was a bit refreshing to see all the new signings we made and I hope the new members help contribute to our success.

On Sunday night, I had just turned the tv on and tuned in to the NFL Network just to see if anything new has happened because the closer the draft gets here the more distant it seems. Anyway, I read the news that was going across the bottom of the screen and when I read that we traded Tone to the Jets for a 5th rounder I stood up and my jaw dropped in shock. Although I hadn't really cared for whenever he would get a first down or made a big play he would flex or hold the ball out and drop it I never expected this to happen. I believe the release of Holmes opens a door to Limas Sweed in a big way. This is his last opportunity to do something or else he may be the next one to be released. I think Sweed has confidence issues because when he gets in there he plays not trying to make a big mistake again rather than going out there to have fun and catch tds.

Big Ben is the biggest issue where I believe we all wonder what is going on in that big noggin of his, but what if he is at a place in his life where accomplishments led to a big ego which in turn allows him to think he is bigger than anyone or any situation that comes his way. I was sickened by the details the Georgia DA shared with us about what occured that night that I could care less whether he was on the team anymore or not. After calming down I would give him another chance to redeem his past actions and that means being clean from now on. Even if he didn't sexually assault the previous two victims he should've learned from the first time not to put himself in the situation where a young lady may be looking to get famous or looking for a quick buck. But without a conviction we should stand behind our QB and support him. We need to pray that he doesn't do anything else foolish from now on and become the QB the Steelers want and the fans want to cheer for.
