Hines Ward's Last Ride?

Where have you gone Joe DiMaggio? Over the last 12 years "leaders" have come and gone. Kordell Stewart, Levon Kirkland, Rod Woodson, Bill Cowher and Jerome Bettis. The rock has always been Hines Ward. The Marine. The guy the Steelers send into enemy territory in short yardage with a first down on the line. Is this Hines last ride?

Reports out of Pittsburgh, the Tribune specifically reports that 2010 could be Hines Ward last season. "If I win 3 Super Bowls, I'm retitring. I'm telling you that right now" Ward reportedly said at a Gatorade promotion at North Hills Highschool in Pittsburgh.

Ward also states he is discouraged by the Pittsburgh Steelers trouble during this off season. For all the details I have provided a link to the article below. He is such a competitor and I am hoping that Big Stupid is scared straight and begs the Rooney's to keep his job. Ben goes out and has the three quarters season of his life and leads the Steelers on a Stairway to 7. Hines can go out like his mentor The Bus. I just hope Big Stupid hasn't used up all the good Steelers Karma that has been floating around the last decade due to his decadence.

Even if the allegations are all false, he put himself in those situations. You need to understand that he is human and NOT perfect, so please take the blinders off. Your vehement claims that he is innocent do not make him so; he may be, but that’s not for us to decide.

I am disappointed in Ben, but I don’t hate him and I will voice my disappointment any way I choose. Get over the name calling, the insults and the derogatory comments; these things tend to happen when “your” quarterback acts stupid.

Have to say I feel for ol’ Brittle Bones Batch. The last time I slid in a softball game I broke my ankle.

Anyway, after #7’s suspension is over, I could easily see us dressing only 2 QBs for some games, with Randel El ready to serve as #3 QB. My guess is Charlie would be odd man out.
