I know this story has been consuming every Steeler fan's concern but...

What if Ben never did do anything with this girl or the other one from last year? He is out partying it up and these girls now know that all I have to do is cry rape and they get all this money. I condemn sexual assault cause that could be anyone's daughter and it is just tragic every time I hear that it happens but sometimes women are not as innocent as they appear to be. I do believe that this type of senario could have happened to Ben, that he put himself out there and people are taking advantage of him or we have a big problem on our hands. Franchise quarterbacks are not easy to come by and we all have to admit that he has been good to the franchise's success especially that great throw in our last superbowl. I know we are all enraged but we need to take a step back and make a sober judgment on this rather than let our emotions get in the way. I will say though that if the Steelers do decide to part ways with him he has nobody to blame but himself because if he did commit the crime he has to face an even higher authority than the Rooneys or Goodell. I personally believe that it would be good for the Steeler nation to have Big Ben hold a press conference to express his remorse and reaffirm his dedication to making things right. I don't want him to see him with his weird mullet reading a statement that he probably didn't write, I want him to just speak from the heart telling all of us how sorry he is and how he will make things right. This would be a little refreshing and would calm the firestorm surrounding him. Now is the time to be clean of any wrongdoing and walk the straight and narrow because any swaying from the path set before him will not be pretty.
