Big Ben has had some off field issues the last couple of seasons and they do leave you wondering if he has problems with his conduct towards women. That said nothing has lead to charges, and that to me means the stuff he was accused of has been blown out of proportion. So he is now suspended until 10/31, the 7th game at the Bills.
Lets look at Mike Vick. He was convicted of crimes and sentenced to 3 years in prison, 11/08. that means he was suppose to be in prison until 11/11. He was released from prison on 7/20/2009. He was signed by the Eagles less than a month later, and was placed on the active 53 man roster on 09/15/2009, the 3rd game of the season.
so He was actually suspended for 3 games,07-08 he was in jail so he really was unable to play, the NFL said he was suspended but not like he could play if he wasn't suspended.
so Vick was convicted and got 2 games, Ben has not been convicted and got 6 games
Ray Lewis was arrested for murder and aggravated assault. the charges were dropped because he testified against the other guys involved. So he was not really found not guilty, charges were dropped due to lack of evdence against him and to push him to testify. Ray Lewis was not suspended at all
Chris Henry- where do I begin, he was arrested numerous times
guilty of marijuana 05,
gun charges 06,
charged with sexual ssault(dropped), giving alcohol to 3 minors guilty, DUI- 2 games suspension
suspended for 8 games starting 07 season, played first game 11/11/2007. that is 5 days after being accused of assaulting a valet, charges were dropped
Seems Big Ben got more for being convicted for far less than the rest of these guys
