I reflected back on this whole, sad chain of events and have concluded that Ben does have growing up to do, but is not a criminal. I spoke to my hubby last night, who is a retired military officer and he told me that military justice is even more harsh that the NFL's justice! The thing that really upsets me is the media portrayle of this event. They list all the other players who got suspended for the "conduct" policy. They listed Plax, Adam Jones, Dante Stallworth and Ben. What do all those players have in common with each other(excluding Ben)? They were all arrested! It's these sutle things the media does to see that Ben Borish behavior is punished. Has anyone else noticed this? Okay, now to the Rooney's, who I have admiration for and probably the best owners in all sports(with yankee owner George Steinbrenner, go yanks) This will ruffle some feathers here but, he and the Rooney's are the best..But, they all make mistakes, and I believe that this whole situation is spiraling out of control. Correct me if I am wrong, but did I misread what Art Rooney said at the beginning that the Steelers were not actively trying to move BB? Now I hear that he is being shopped around? I have also heard that Ben is not very well liked by the people in pittsburgh and his own teamates too..Is this true? I don't live in pittsburgh, so I don't hear all the rumors, inuendos, etc, etc. Do you think that this also plays a part in this punishment?
Thanx guys!
