A Big Mistake or Big Opportunity?

Something hit me this morning and wanna share it with you.

Ben Roethlisberger has shaken our belief in him through his acts of foolishness for the past couple of years, especially recently with his acts in Georgia. I don't support this kind of folly, I don't think that anyone really does because you can take it a step farther and act like it was your daughter. Now, could it be that she is just saying this to gain money or to be in the spotlight for a sec? Maybe, my own thinking is that something did happen but even if it was consensual the woman can still yell "rape" and bring down Ben in this case.

Trade rumors have been heating up and many polls have shown that most agree we should trade him and get him outta town. I personally think that as  him being a top 5 qb that the organization will give him one more chance, but he has to make the effort or else he may see the end coming quicker and quicker. Even if he didn't do anything, he still has shamed himself, the organization and the fans who have supported him throughout the past 6 years. Right now it seems as though he has worldly sorrow which is a dry sorry and I'll never do this again which to me didn't convince me he was truly sorry. He needs to have Godly sorrow which brings repentance and leads to salvation and leaves no regrets. I want to see a man, who is broken by his foolishness come back to his former glory but with humility and gratitude.

I believe now is the time to show forgiveness and support for our fallen QB, I believe in second chances and by the grace of God I have had my second chance. Should we stay angry forever and not show mercy to one who is in desperate need of it? Everything appears to be falling down around him and should we add more weight to the burden he is now faced to carry. Don't get me wrong, this is all self inflicted but should be condemn or should we have faith he can turn himself from darkness to light? We all do wrong on a consistent basis, I for which am the chief of all wrongdoings, but in judging Big Ben I don't believe we have that right, it is God's. If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to cast a stone at him.
