Welllll helllllooo there BTSC. Its been a long while. Anyway I havent died or been eaten by a predator in the jungle. In fact, I've simply been without internet in the house here in Peru for a while.

I'll have you all know I didnt miss a game of last season, although there were a few I wish I had.  And im gearing up for next year with my buddy Tom down here. Hes also a pittsburgh native. Im teaching english now, which is great. Pays the bills. Not quite enough to get a direct TV setup, but thats why I love Tom.

Aside from personal BS I figured Id talk football a bit. 

I wont drag on too much about Ben. Weve had our collective ears bored to death by this. All I want to say is I think a 2-4 game suspension wasnt a bad idea. I dont consider Ben guilty of a crime. If he was, any number of courts would have already said so. I just consider Ben a bit guilty of being stupid and I hope he realizes he has to put on the big boy pants now. Thats all. Ill still cheer for him when he breaks a sack or scrambles for a 4th down conversion or plays through an injury. I dont care. I take the good with the bad.

As far as the draft. Hallelujah. BMac coming back was arguably my highlight of the offseason. And I love loading up on the OLBs. We need that depth. I think whether we realize it or not, Harrison got tired on some plays. And hes not reffed the same. Hell, even 80% of a Silverback is too much for most to handle, but imagine if we could rotate and keep him at 100% all year. Hell be back to his old big numbers I'm sure.

On the current QB situation. I really hope Dixon gets to start. He deserves it. Leftwich is a statue and has no mobility. Our receivers are used to having a QB that can mobilize and extend the play. Dixon can do that as well as Ben if not better. It makes more sense to keep a fluid mobile guy under center. It lessens the drop off I think in playing styles at least.

Anyway thats whats been going thorugh my mind. Ive still been reading the site daily. I'll definitely be on more in the future now that Im connected. And of course any and all questions regarding Peru can be directed here!
