I need a local perspective

I am a Steeler fan in St Louis, and would like opinions on Ben's perception in the Burg. A lot of the media, in particular the recent AP article did a nice job of describing the importance of the Steelers to Pittsburgh, and indicated that "most" fans want to get rid of Ben for the sake of the franchise pride (or something like that).

As a life long Steeler fan, I get the connection to the team. The Steeler mystique. The way the country is full of loyal fans. However, I tend to assume the "get rid of Ben" crowd, is likely the loud, "talk radio" types who always yell the loudest and get the most attention. What do you locals think? How does it break down?

I have read the facts, I am not pleased with Ben's behavior, and I believe he is being made an example by Goodell. I have decided to treat Ben like a good friend or family member who got in trouble- I am not going to abandon you, but you really need to clean it up.

Appreciate your perspective.
